Sound Mode Tasker Plugin

Was so happy to find a mute solution for Tasker BUT .....it doesn't work on Nougat. Sorry guys. Sets Do not disturb which as we all know isn't a true mute. I'll try it again when it does.

Yeah just don't do anything, tried to activate my sound profile with tasker nothing happens this app is broken, to bad I played for it...Advice stay away.

No long work on Samsung Galaxy S7

The battery and charging mode triggers stopped working after update to nougat on galaxy s7.

Had an issue with this plugin, but the developer responded in a timely manner and now it works very well. Using this plugin is much more reliable and efficient than using Tasker by itself for changing volumes.

Works better with Nougat, but what exactly was revamped? Update lost my profiles and with no backup option that's really annoying.

Not work on miui 8, any possibility to support this in the future?

This is a much needed plug in to solve the fact that on Samsung you could only go vibrate on Tasker. I have a Pebble steel, when I'm in meetings I want the phone completely silent and let the watch do the alerting. Prior I had to manually take the phone from vibrate where Tasker put it to silent if I didn't want the phone shaking on the desk.

Doesn't seem to work since upgrading to Android N.

Unfortunately app continues to lose focus in Tasker requiring user to have to run app to re-establish. I'll need to find an alternative if this isn't resolved soon. UPDATE - issue may be related to App Optimisation and service stopping. Have disabled Optimisation for this app to see if it helps.

Fixed my one nagging feature broken in my Tasker profiles. Easy enough to use by selecting "Plugin" -> "Sound Mode Plugin" -> "Configuration (pencil)" -> "Drop down arrow Silent" as shown in the screenshots in the app description. ------ UPDATE ------- Tasker always forgets the setting on update causing the user to unset then reset the plugin.

Thanks for jumping in to create this for Lollipop+ Tasker users! It's a bit odd that the timeout is in seconds (instead of minutes), assuming that correlates to the timeout that the OS prompts you for (which is generally in hour and half hour increments)? It seems to max at 3600, which is one hour, which doesn't seem like enough.

Makes changing the volume mode very easy and the smart mode is ingenious

Updated to Marshmallow and this got night silent working again. Good work :)

The idea is good. But unfortunately, it's a hit and miss. Sometimes the profiles apply, sometimes it fails to apply. I had to find another solution to my sound profiles.

The sound profiles are the most interesting-sounding feature of this plug-in, but it's impossible to try them without first paying to unlock the feature. If I could try the feature and liked it, I would happily purchase the plug-in, but with no way to try it, all I can do is delete the package again.

Don't see silent option in Tasker with Note 5, still only off and vibrate options

Thank you so much for making this! I just finally updated my Note 4 to Lollipop (was waiting for 5.1). Not being able to silence my camera so my dog doesn't freak out would have been a problem, but thankfully I found this. Does exactly what it's supposed to.
