Research has shown that sleep is prompted by natural cycles of brain activity and consists of two basic states: rapid eye movement (REM) sleep and non-rapid eye movement sleep. Each cycle lasts about 90 minutes. A healthy person needs about 5 to 6 cycles a night.

A person waking up at the end of a complete cycle will feel refreshed even though the amount of sleep is short. On the other hand, waking up in the middle of the cycle will leave you feeling groggy and restless.

You can improve your sleeping habits and get better sleeps by planning the sleep time as well as wake up with this app.

It works! Used it for a few days and i found that it is easier to actually wake up around the suggested time rather than snoozing the alarm and went back to sleep feeling annoyed. :)
