It contains all of NICE’s clinical guidelines, including those on COPD, hypertension, stroke, chronic heart failure, atrial fibrillation, head injury, depression, ovarian cancer, UTI in children, anxiety and autism. It also contains all NICE’s technology appraisals, interventional procedures guidance, medical technology and diagnostics guidance.

What are users saying about NICE Guidance

C70%
by C####:

Would've have been great, but I cannot scroll smoothly when I've found the guideline. I can scroll properly everywhere else, but when it comes to the actual guideline, I can only scroll one line of text at a time. Seems like a pretty easy thing to fix. This app is a huge improvement on the previous version, but this nag makes it unusable which is unfortunate.

C70%
by C####:

The app interface is nicer than before. And thanks for sharing this great resource. Very helpful! Better if we know if our database is uptodate.

C70%
by C####:

Good effort though. But need to improve functions. Never give the guidelines which I am looking for. It opens some other topic always. Please correct it

C70%
by C####:

Difficult to find relevant guidance. Clogged with out of date guidance, no option to sort by date, many missing (for example the old stroke and chronic fatigue guidance are in the correct sections, but their newer versions are missing).

I70%
by I####:

The database keeps getting corrupted after update. Random guidelines appear instead of selected ones. This render this marvellous app useless.

C70%
by C####:

I'm deleting this app because it takes too long to scroll down and it's a shame because I'm working on my gmc registration. I hope this'll be resolved.

C70%
by C####:

can't scroll smoothly!! and it would have been nice if we could just exclude all the QS guidelines from the search results..

V70%
by V####:

Please fix text scrolling, swipe only scrolls one line, this is just painfully slow! I've never seen this"feature" in any other app.

E70%
by E####:

The design is spot on, but because it isnt up to date is virtually pointless. This ap would otherwise be really useful. :-)

O70%
by O####:

Links are broken .. For example type on search bar : CG144 : venous thromboembolic diseases... then click it opens >> PH10 stop smoking services !!!!

C70%
by C####:

Can't ever get to the guideline I want because it's (for example) linking to Contraceptive guidelines when I try to look at the STEMI page.

C70%
by C####:

Scrolling doesn't work! Fix this please! Have to scroll one line at a time with each finger swipe. Makes the app unusable

C70%
by C####:

You should work on the scroll settings. It scrolls only 2 line and not smooth. Apart from that it's a great app to have.

C70%
by C####:

Please please fix the links! There is no point to this app if they are all mixed up and broken!

B70%
by B####:

Scrolling does not work on app. Shame because it would be a good resource otherwise

C70%
by C####:

Unable to use it as it takes ages to scroll down. Shame as it would be extremely useful!

C70%
by C####:

Scrolling is not smooth..app is not properly optimized, very buggy..otherwise content is as good as the guidelines provided

C70%
by C####:

Can only scroll one line at a time, it's quicker to just use the internet version.

C70%
by C####:

Scrolling is like crawling even on powerful devices like G3

C70%
by C####:

Scrolling problems still not fixed. Unusable without fixing this

I70%
by I####:

Links all out of date.. diabetes in pregnancy links to hypothermia

C70%
by C####:

It's taking too long too scroll through information!

J70%
by J####:

Scrolling speed is one line per move please fix it

V70%
by V####:

Guidance links completely muddled, unable to access correct content.

C70%
by C####:

Impossible to use due to scrolling issues

D70%

Can't find any advice I'm looking for anymore!

C70%

Good idea scrolling is a problem

its nice to have a catalogue of nice guidelines on the go offline, but quite a few of the linked guidelines are not working. it leads to a completely different guideline instead. an example would be clinical guidance for adult IV therapy in hospital.

Y70%
by Y####:

Used to be good now unusable. None of the hyperlinks work. Some guidance headers are pointing to the wrong content but worst of all it is now impossible to scroll the guidance...

N70%
by N####:

My Google play app apparently hadn't been working for a while so when I eventually realised and fixed it I was treated to hours of app updates... This was one I did not want. I used to use this app all the time while I was on the go to quickly check things but since it updated it crashes immediately every time I open it. The old version worked fine - please bring it back, at least until this new version is fixed!

N70%
by N####:

I have uninstalled the app since the recent update is unusable. It is a shame NICE produced a fantastic app which needed improvement but they completely lost it. It keeps crashing on current version of Android

Z70%
by Z####:

The interface is indeed nice and clean, the app looks good. I just don't understand why it is impossible to at least copy and paste text from the app? Either that or some notes making system which would allow to highlight so that most important bits for you are easier to spot. Let's face it, nice guidance often is not the most engaging read, some bits are repetitive, there is a need for the user to be able to use it for their clinical needs. We need capability to copy text then also highlight and annotate.

E70%
by E####:

All links in the app are broken and take you to wrong guideline. E.g. pneumonia take you to morton neuroma. Neuropathic pain takes you to heart failure. Probably an easy school boy coding error. But makes the app useless. I wouldn't mind joining your coding team.

N70%
by N####:

The app repeatedly tells something went wrong and re sets when cellular dete is on. Please try to fix it. Also the titles and links are wrong. For an example can no longer find the guideline for chronic heart failure. Categorization of conditions and content are wrong.

G70%
by G####:

Is it me or the guidelines are all under the wrong headings? Example under the tab chronic fatigue syndrome the guideline there is about preoperative tests for elective surgery. Diabetes tab includes all sorts of things. .. NICE please fix this problem. Thank you

N70%
by N####:

The old version was working well, very useful. Since the update the app doesnt even run without downloading 100mbs first. Using up that much space is not acceptable for any app. Sadly uninstalling.

N70%
by N####:

i got this app to help me with information on a heart condition presentation weeks ago. Am done with the presentation and the information on the app is still not done downloading. Whats more, it crashes my phone whenever i activate it. I don't know what's wrong but I know the NICE guidance has valuable information as a reference. So pleaaaassseeee fix this.

N70%
by N####:

Some guidelines are under wrong headings. Please fix!

The articles that are loaded are different from the titles when you tap on a topic. Lots of useful material here but totally unusable due to app flaws. Such a waste, ICT team need to up their game.
