About Southern Health Listens
The Southern Health Listens App is a revolutionary and intuitive way that anyone can submit their ideas, views and comments to the NHS Trust via text, video, audio or pics.
Southern Health Listens is the biggest listening exercise ever undertaken by Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. It invites views from local patients and service users, their families, local people and staff as to how we can deliver compassionate care and services that are of the highest safety and quality, meet local needs and deliver what they want.
This app is built around 4 simple but powerful questions, similar to those asked by the Care Quality Commission:
Safety – how can we best ensure people are protected from abuse and avoidable harm?
Effectiveness – how can we ensure people’s care, treatment and support achieves good outcomes, promotes a good quality of life and is based on the best evidence?
Responsiveness – How can we best ensure that staff involve and treat people with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect?
Organisation – how can we ensure our services are organised so they meet people’s needs?
Alternatively, users can choose a general option – “I simply want to say something to you.”
Users have complete control over how they can talk to the Trust, providing text, audio, video or pictures. Users also have complete choice and control over whether they want their name to be associated with their contribution or remain anonymous.
