The NHM Reader app enables users to read books in English and Tamil, one of the major Indian languages, in a simple and easy to use interface. You can read books for free if you want or purchase books that you like from a wide selection of books and can access the books across multiple devices.
The main features of NHM Reader include:
- Access to a range of free books in Tamil and English without requiring registration
- Option for Simple and Advanced Search to locate interesting books by Title, Author, Subject, Publisher, Keywords, Year and Price.
- Ability to shop for a variety of Tamil and English books, including literary novels by national award winning authors
- Downloading and reading free book samples for all our books - the first chapter is available free to all to read before deciding to buy the book
- Option to select the font size, screen background and brightness for optimal reading experience
- Turning pages back and forth by flicking or tapping on either side of the screen
- A separate My Library section to quickly access the books that one is currently reading
- Ability to organise one's library into user-defined shelves for convenience
- Option to search for books within one's own collection of free and purchased books
- Setting bookmarks within books
- Option of adding upto 4 devices to every user account
- Synchronising the last page read and bookmarks across multiple devices linked to the user's account
- Ability to delete books from the device at any time and re-download them later at any time for free

The application keeps showing the status "Loading" . Cleared data , cache and even uninstalled & reinstalled. Above all, as a last resort, restored the previous working one and checked , still the same old story. I have some purchased books too which I haven't finished reading. Could it be something to do with your server migration as you have mentioned in the case of NHM web portal? Kindly look into the case & resolve it at once. Thank you.

Couldn't able to install it once i have updated my android to lollipop,regarding the user interface of the application is ok ,since there is only one application in the market which offers Tamil books in softcopies,certainly no of books has to be included much more and user interface has to be improved for searching the books and navigating to other menus

After registration, when i try to login it says 'Your account has not been activated. Email sent for activation'. But i didn't get any activation link on my mail. And i went to NHM website and registered myself. For that i got activation mail. After that also i tried, the error remains!!! Please fix this issue!!! Ufff... i couldn't submit this review without giving star...

Waited for a Tamil ebook reader and now it is here. I can understand the difficulty in giving full featured app at the moment. Expecting more updates and features. Try to fix the search function. It is not working...
