Chicago Blackhawks Official

I already have the NHL app on my phone and is great for a overview of teams and the league. The Blackacks and RedWings had great apps too, butwas far more specialized and detailed for their teams, until now. Now that the NHL has taken over, your getting the same format as their app. Please give back the specialization and content fans want and had until this year. Each market deserves this and builds the fan base.

I have the NHL app along with Blackhawks app. Now I have 2 of the same. I used to keep the box score open during games & now I cant even get to it! The exclusive content was great! And it was simple to navigate. The Blackhawks app has always been great & top notch before the NHL stuck their nose in it! Now it sucks. To get the scores, it takes forever, if it even works. Its terribly laid out. Content is generic. Seriously NHL, let teams develop & maintain their own apps!

I have been a big fan of this app since I downloaded it during the strike shortened 2012-13 season and had turned to this app to get news in the news section. However since the app was updated and shifted primarily to the NHL app I am not happy. The news in NHL app was pulling up the same story for 5 of the links and doesn't provide the in depth analysis that the Blackhawks app contained. Please bring back the old app format for those Blackhawks fans that have better access to team news through this app.

I used to watch the games with the Blackhawks app boxscore open. It was easy to open and had a simple layout to track the basic game stats. With the new app I spent most of the game trying to find game info and each time I opened a page, I couldn't go back to the previous page, it backed me out completely. The game stats page that I found had too much info and was impossible to read on my phone. Very frustrating and useless as a game companion.

I have had this app for the past couple of years and it worked great on my Samsung galaxy s3. well, after installing the new version fir this year it no longer works. it doesn't even start. it just shows as an app running in the background. get your act together and resolve the issue. demoted to 1 star as it doesn't work. And why does the new version need access to my call logs? im glad I uninstalled it, I hate apps that want access to things they dont need just to steal my information.

This is my first time reviewing this app, it was definitely a 5 star app. Now that the nhl has taken it over I would say zero stars. Stay Away From this App Untill They Change It back. Which is unlikely. No good.

---now it's the worst! Totally disorganized. Even league divisions aren't listed properly. Most is useless "fluff" trying to make it look all- inclusive. I don't want the NHL crap site merged with and ruining the Blackhawk site. Go back to the way it was last season.

Don't let all the good ratings fool you. I loved this app until the NHL decided to stick their nose in it. The only reason I haven't deleted it yet is because I am hoping the team can take it back and bring it back to the awesome app it once was. Until then it's not worth your time so don't bother to download it. It takes you directly to the NHL app and it just plain sucks!

This is horrible. I'm very pissed off you pulled this bait and switch. Now we have to sort through the NHL app to find blackhawk content, no thanks removing app and I WILL NOT install the NHL. You suck!

Wont let me run unless i download the nhl app. Thats dumb af. Iv never had to do thqt with this app before. Waste of memory and time. I used to like the hawks app cause it notified me on hawks stuff. Not the entire league. I aint got time for dat. Please fix and ill give 5*'s

Not thrilled about the forced merging of the Blackhawks team app with the NHL app. Team app redundant? Maybe..but I'm a Hawks fan, and I want the complete Hawks package and content. I can go to the NHL app if I want League information. I would prefer my all Hawks version back.

I wish I could give a zero star rating. App no longer works when it used to be a lifeline. Phone doesn't have enough storage to fit 2 apps to suit one purpose. Uninstalling it completely due to the fact that it no longer works as a stand alone app. Feedback for improvement would be to revert to your previous version.

Why have you allowed the NHL to take over this app! Now I can't even look at the Blackhawks roster! I hate this! What a waste!

Very upset that I am force fed a crap app that I don't want. Nothing wrong with the Blackhawks app so why this switch??? I get none of the info I want any more. I used to be able to get every detail on the games, now, just the score. This app Sucks!

If I wanted the NHL app, I would have downloaded it. I can't even find where to watch games because the new app just wants you to subscribe to gamecenter. If I wanted to do that, I wouldn't be paying for satellite tv. Bring back the original app. This mess is bullshit.

I'm very disappointed in this update. Please don't force people to get your app. This app was made to be specific to the Hawks. Now it's basically the broken NHL app. Uninstall for now, I'll check back for an update that gives us back the original.

Totally baits you into downloading the NHL App (which sucks) by requiring an update. What a complete waste of a really awesome app. Way to go NHL, need to keep your fingers in everyone's business no matter what! This is gone. Uninstalling this garbage.

This was the worst idea ever I wanted to download the NHL app I would have I got this app because I wanted quick access to Blackhawks news scores in content. If I wanted to find out any more information on the NHL as a whole I would go to the website this is ridiculous I will delete it until they come to they go back.

I loved my blackhawks app, but now that it is a redirect to the NHL app, I'll pass. It's bad enough that the NHL design is poor, but buried features and intrusive advertising make this a deal-breaker. I guess I'll just hit the mobile website and social media from now on.

I'm unhappy with not having my individual team app. NHL app rates 3.7 at time of install. On principle I install 4.0 or higher rated apps. Blackhawks app was 4.5 at time of update. It will be an interesting season. NHL app-Do NOT give me final game score. I have settings for game start ONLY!

This app worked great, I used it almost every day during the main season. I don't really care too much about the other teams, I just want information on the Blackhawks. I'm frustrated that I'm being forced to download an app I don't want.

Can't use it to listen to games anymore due to it now using the NHL app which "isn't available in you country". What? Because there are no swedish people intersted in the NHL? Was great before that switch happened. Now this app is useless as I can't use it for anything. Before I would have given it 4 stars...

You can't focus on the Blackhawks without constant interruptions from the NHL and what they think you want. Totally ruined this app. Worthless now and totally useless. Keep the NHL one separate from the Blackhawks. Fix this mess!!

I would give this zero stars but you can't give it that to write a comment. I had to download the NHL app to look up the Blackhawks schedule. I liked just having the Hawks app. The new version is HORRIBLE!!!

This new app is a waste of time. Who makes the call on making these types of changes? I'm totally disappointed and hardly ever use it. It gets a zero rating from me.

The app was a 5 star until the NHL took it over, now it's terrible. Each time I open the app I have to sort through the NHL app to locate and go to the Blackhawks page. I so hope they change it back to the way it was before.

Been using this app for years, I would recommend it to anyone who I saw look up a score on their phone. I already have the NHL app and I've never been impressed. This was a stupid move on their part. Rating is 0/5

I'm not sure why this change happened, but when I had the NHL app in the past, I uninstalled it. Now I have no choice. Frustrating. The UI was much better on the Blackhawks app and certainly more visually appealing. I'll give this version a chance, but no guarantees I will keep it.

Bring back the old team apps. As a Hawks fan I want a Hawks app. I bet all other fans of other teams feel the same. If I wanted a merged NHL app I would have just used that. Former 5 star app is now total trash. Would give it a zero if I could. Deleting now. Thanks for ruining a good thing.

Used to be one of my favorite apps but is worthless now. If I wanted the NHL app I would install that (it's a pain and have uninstalled it). I liked having a team app that was easy to find info and had a unique look. I will be uninstalling until they listen to users and make changes.

The old Blackhawks app was great, amazing. However, this new update MAKES you download the NHL app. The NHL app layout is terrible. The old app only contained Blackhawks information, which is the only info I want to see. Now I need to have two apps installed just for it to go into the NHL app and redirect me to the Blackhawks page. Doesn't make any sense. PLEASE revert back to the original app.

I guess now that the NHL has MLBAM running their online presence...you no longer get the individual teams apps. Everything has to be the same for all teams so everything has to run thru the NHL app. No more individual personality. Just uniform bullcrap. What a shame. This used to be a really nice app with personality. Now is is garbage.

I loved my Blackhawks app! Why would you mess with it. If I wanted the NHL app I would have installed it. I don't get to watch all my hawks games so I loved being able to hit a button and see the score. Please fix this; until you do I will be uninstalling the current app if you can even call it an app.

Horrible. Give me back the old version that worked. Keeps telling me there are no games tonight. I'm watching a game you fools. Fix this app. Until it's returned to it's old self it's uninstalled.

I don't need the separate NHL app. I loved this application for the multiple years I have had it. It worked perfectly and flawlessly and gave me all the information I wanted/needed. This is just ridiculous.

Why mess with something that worked, don't want the NHL app. Concider this deleted until you bring back the original Blackhawks app. Going to look for a different one.

The old app was great. This is just a bunch of Crap you have to Wade through to get the information you want. Awful awful awful.

I'm so disappointed in the NHL merging their app over all of the team individual apps. I agree with the other reviews on this latest update. Harder to navigate and over reaching in my opinion. Go back to the old way and let us download the teams we want.

Now makes you automatically open the NHL app which is clunky and crap. Just use your own app that was working just fine!
