About Yo Voto
What is “Yo Voto”?
“Yo Voto” is an initiative of POL-IT and Georgia Tech to promote citizen participation and observation during Georgia’s Presidential Primary on March 1st.
“Yo Voto” is a tool for citizens committed to both transparency in the electoral process and strengthening democracy.
What can I do with “Yo Voto”
With the App, citizens can report any irregularities in the electoral process, send photos, interact with other citizens, and participate in surveys. Reports will be geolocated and mapped in real-time.
Who are we?
Pol-IT (Politics and Information Technology) is an Argentinian company specialized in consulting and development of applied innovative technology solutions for political communications, election campaigns, and public opinion.
We believe that civic participation is paramount to strengthening democracy and improving political institutions. With this in mind, we create and promote tools and initiatives for civic use.

Dr. Ellen Zegura and Dr. Mike Best advise a cross-disciplinary team of undergraduate and graduate students called the VIP eDemocracy Team. The goal of the eDemocracy is to use computing and communications technology to increase and improve the transparency and fairness of democratic processes and institutions at home and abroad.

Other initiatives of POL-IT
In 2015 we implemented several successful initiatives. For the Argentinean Presidential Election we developed and promoted: Ojo con el Voto, Debate Real Time and Fiscal Ciudadano.
We received the support from several important partners including some of the most important news outlets in the country like Clarín, La Nación, La Voz del Interior as well as the NGO Poder Ciudadano, the Argentinean Chapter of Transparency International.
In collaboration with Georgia Tech we implemented Aggie 2.0, a system created by Georgia Tech that monitors reports of social media, during the Argentinean Presidential Run-off.
In Venezuela we launched “”Cuido mi Voto” for the 2015 Parliamentary Elections.
