Atomic Clock for Android
Won't work when gpa is off. Would have been really cool ro have local sunrise and sunset times next to atomic clock.
But it's easier to just look at my "atomic clock" wristwatch than this.
Decent way to get a good time hack to the second. Sometimes has trouble getting a signal lock though.
Glxy note4, leaves GPS sensor "on" upon exiting the app. A big drain on the battery, if GPS not needed.
father...
I would give it a perfect score except for the lie that I have a virus on my phone message.
Useless , do not download
Works well on this device
Spam, no sync
Pretty good. Better to sync off the gps than internet or shortwave signal. Looks like verizon finally fixed their network time because it's only off my 0.1 now instead of 15 like before
Nice program
It works just fine but I don't need it it's just a clock, you can't do anything with it, no alarm you can use, there is no settings on it at all all you can do is look at it. It would be cool if it had a voice on it telling you the time like it does on a shortwave radio.
Galaxy S4 -11sec. SDakota. Nice App! Have a 8yr old wall clock still ticking. Go NAVY!
Suddenly leapt off into browser to tell me I'd won a prize and how should we ship it? Why spoil a good idea with skank like that?
Shows the correct time according to a GPS connection. Just what I wanted.
No frills but always works. Does exactly what it says it does. Use it all the time for work. Very useful.
Checked it with a self synching clock and it was right on.
Does exactly what it should.
Exactly as you would expect
It works
The app works great on my Thunderbolt and is free. Only complaint is no portrait mode, which seems like an oversight.
Works as described. Seems to be quite accurate.
Very accurate! Requires a GPS lock to work btw
Works fine but dont like the way it rotates my screen without asking and the GPS stayed on after it was closed.
Got a lock but no gps time showed, just showed the internal time.
I downloaded the app and tried it, it showed that the time was off by over 7 hrs. If it cant accurately detect my location and time zone then why bother.
31,294 revolutions around the earth.
This app works great, it is exactly as described, I even installed it on my wife's phone, Great job.
This application does what it says it will do: determines the time of day from the NAVSTAR GPS satellite constellation, converts to local time based on your device's time zone setting, and displays it. Your device's time is also displayed, along with the difference in seconds. Time of day can be displayed in the standard 24-hour format (00:00:00 to 23:59:59) or the old 12-hour format still in common use in a few countries. Suggestion: for some of the work I do, I would like to be able to toggle the GPS time to UTC instead of only the local time zone. Yes, I can do the math to add/subtract the number of time zones, but GPS provides UTC anyway (actually, GPS time + UTC Offset), so why should that be necessary? I really like the picture of the old Hewlett-Packard 5061A Cesium Beam Frequency Standard. In the years I was working for the US Navy as a metrologist, I used that instrument, and some of its successors, many times. (People who don't know the importance of this instrument should search for information on the "flying clock experiment".)
So much easier than going on the NIST website to use their clock, and probably more accurate. But i still miss WWV and CHU.
This app is short and sweet and right to the point. Tells you correct time, your devices time and the difference. Good Work.
I downloaded it along with Navy Clock. Tried the other one first.GPS locked right in got time right away. Tried this. Not moving from the spot I was at and for 15 minutes I got waiting for GPS to lock in. After that Tried my weather apps, all found my GPS right away and pinpointed my location Something is wrong with the Atomic Time app. I will keep trying just to see. ( Samsung Tab )
In the previous post i had it mixed with the HP VLF time comparator. The instrument on top is a Hewlett Packard 5060 Cesium beam atomic time reference. It was the first transportable atomic time reference. The second instrument is the reference power supply for the oscillator. Still these were found in most calibration labs.
Have Huawei U8652 Android phone and Samsung Galaxy 2, 10.1 inch. Works great on both devices. Compared to WWV on ham radio radio transceiver and is within a fraction of a second in both cases. This 'Atomic' clock uses GPS signals not the same 60kHz signals home 'Atomic' clocks use. Highly recommend this app.
Makes getting the right time a pleasure.
pls add feature to select GMT/UTC display also. that would be great.

Funny reviews from people stating "takes forever to lock! Rubbish app!" using "an older device". Your hardware is crap, not the app.

Reports both atomic and device time incorrectly! Both out by half an hour!
