Bring back the "What's going around this week" health section. I love using this app for the weather everyday!!! I dislike all the sponsored ads that in between every other article, too many.

Like the new design, my only complaints is that I miss the precipitation percentage on the hour by hour forecast and I miss that the ads are not just in a small box at the bottom like it used to be and so many other apps use.

Some if the ads are nonsensical. Ads for "competing" apps. Wish they would focus on local stories more. Decent news source.

Used to love this app, but it's becoming more and more full of ads. You have to dismiss one to gsin access to the news that I opened the app for in the 1st place! Uninstalling!

Hate the new look. Just want the news without all the flashy windows.

Used to be a go to app for news but since they decided to throw in advertising when you open it , it's not so good anymore and I have asked questions about stories and never got a response from them ! Wcny is the place to be !

Liked older version better. New version has an ad for something in between every news story which is kind of annoying. Liked ads on side better.

I enjoy this app. It send alerts of breaking news and weather.

Instead of updating the app, should have spent money on proofreading lessons.

Pop-up ads on top of sponsored content makes it too difficult to actually read news stories. Uninstalled

App stopped working along with Ch 9 weather app. Uninstalled & reinstalled both and still won't open.

I like the old setup way better i dont like how the weather is setup now and you cant see the percentage of precipitation for each day

I like this app. Because I can check my local news at any time and watch the 11 o'clock news live no matter where I am.

Both apps have been disappointing I just want the weather to be consistent and updated regularly.

great for local info,weather and school closings. They are always fast with school closings and weather updates!! I can't live without this app.!!

It's ok for the most part. A little less flash, perhaps. But, informative enough for me.

Terrible app. Hasn't worked properly in years. Doppler 9 will not animate half the time. Love news ch. 9, hate their app!

Current version seems bugger than the past. If you tap the X to dismiss an alert, it doesn't dismiss. Tap 2-3x more and it crashes the app. Tapping on the headline of an alert should load a story but often produces same results as trying to X-out or it just reloads the page. Live Doppler 9 page doesn't display properly; image and text are bigger/wider than screen viewport. Some links just load the website, which is pointless since I could view the site in my browser w/o the app.

This app rarely works. When it does, it is very good, but don't count on it working more than 20% of the time.

I really liked this app, it was my go to for school closings. My children's school emailed at 0524 today of school being closed. At this time, 0821, school is still not listed as closed. Thanks 9WSYR.

Getting better all the time

Haven't used this app for a while because of all the ads. Came here to read reviews before uninstalling... Seems like everyone is still unhappy with it. Uninstalling now. Pop-ups are a sin.

Yeah, it's alright, but it could be easier to use... I have a hard time finding certain things that I used to have, before subscribing to your app.????

A few ads at the bottom of the screen were fine. Then all of a sudden one day changing articles, pop up ads for games to download. I sent them an email telling them I'd hate to find a better app, they responded letting me know they would pass the information along to the tech team. Now I get pop up video ads.... GOODBYE 9 WSYR....

Stupid, full-page pop-up ads! I was begrudgingly used to out of date news, but the ads have made this app totally worthless. I did like what i could see of the new layout before the stupid ad with the jerk in a spa trying to sell me car insurance popped up....And note to the companies that have products promoted in these obtrusive ads- i will actively try to NEVER buy one of your services or products. Goodbye 9wsyr, hello weatherbug & CNYCentral.
