This app is WEAK!!!!!!, news stories are very brief or not showing up at all, uninstall....

Well, I can't get it to recognize me as a paid subscriber, so I don't think much of it right now. I've tried to activate my account by pressing the Activate button on the Chronicle website, but nothing happens when I talk on the Activate button.

How the heck do I turn off the push notifications? Does not seem to be setting for turning them off. Don't need to see all the breaking news updates!

Set up press+ account, waited 24 hours and still can't use app.

Haven't used it. Usually use chrome browser.

Augusta Chronicle is the worst paper in the CSRA. They have so few subscribers that they actually think you will pay to subscribe to use the app and still be bombarded with obnoxious ads. Emailed developer. No reply. In order to use this sad excuse for an app, simply goto the actual website and create a desktop bookmark FREE. It works the same as the app did before they lost their minds.

The stories dont update as they should. I often see the same stories two days in a row, even after a refresh.

To those complaining about not having free online access to the Augusta Chronicle: Quit being idiots. Publishing a newspaper costs money. If you want to read that paper, in any format, pay for it like the rest of us. Of the paper doesn't turn a profit it won't exist for you (or your kids) to read. That's common sense, not greed. To the Chronicle: Thank you for giving me the option to read my paper anywhere, and for doing what it takes to stay in business.

Don't understand why this went from free to a subscription only app! Used to enjoy being able to read the local news while waiting somewhere like a doctor appointment but don't use enough to justify paying for a subscription, will be uninstalling. Liked when free to use but not worth paying for a subscription.

Used the app for months because I could get the news earlier than the paper news. All of sudden I can't access anything. As a elderly man, this is very frustrating for me that things broke. I would love to give 5 stars once things work again. The people at the brick n mortar locations can't help me and I feel helpless with my daily news. Please help!

As a previous resident and someone who continues to have family in Augusta, I like to keep up on the news and obits...absolutely ridiculous that this app went from free to now having to have a subscription. Such a shame!!

Was pretty good...now I have to subscribe for local news!...uninstalling..Moved from Augusta for a little while and like to stay up to date on occasion on whats going on...no longer can do that with this app...Well there are other apps like WRDW where I can get the same local news for free..

This app used to be alright. Have had for years, now I have to subscribe. I can get my local news for free elsewhere!

I have used this app to browse local headlines for a couple years, now suddenly I am required to subscribe to read any news at all? Bite me, WJBF and others have free apps, you can keep this.

After years of only being able to read limited news headlines we now have to subscribe. I can get free news from all over the web an some of your stories are still free on the website too. So this makes no sense having to subscribe.

I have had this app for months. Why is almost every story presented in multiple sections? Whatever is happening it makes your paper look sloppy stupid or careless...plus it wastes bandwidth UPDATE: Sorry but the update is worse than the earlier version. Interface and text are WAY too small even on my tablet...which now is the only device I can install the app. Thanks for convincing me to give up on you. I now have more free time in the morning. One star for effort. Uninstalling this awful awful app.

Why did you change the format now I can't find rant and raves and it is so slow to load you turned a good app into a turd

I can read 75 magazines on my Galaxy Tablet but can't read a digital edition of the Augusta Chronicle on my Tablet. Why? Augusta Chronicle wins all these new awards but can not make a digital version for Tablets. When will you make a digital version for Tablets?

For a leading newspaper, this is the worst app. It works occasionally on my tablet and recently not at all. When I go to the web, it acts me continually to activate. I log in using my Press+ account and still asks to activate. They should ask for their money back from the developers! I gave it a 2 because the app at least opens.

Most stories will not load. What can u expect coming out of that DISGUSTA CITY!

Freezes

The AC developers won't provide a CHANGE LOG to advise readers what the update is about. Yet they ask permission to obtain our "fine GPS location". NO THANKS!

It was a 4 star when it updated, now when I open the app it just trys to update forever and never finishes. I can't read the stories if it doesn't finish updating. Been doing this for 3 weeks now no matter how many bars I have. Please fix.

I try to read, but the app takes forever to load, then closes unexpectedly I'm using an android.

I uninstalled this app in Oct due to it forcing close. Its STILL not fixed and its almost three months later. Get it together!

Force closes incred. Huge space hog. Had to uninstall.

Use to like this app. now its crap for Droid phones. Unistalled.

I wish I could transfer to my sd card. Otherwise it is a good app.

Very clean app. Great way to keep up with whats going on in the CSRA. Plus national news, sports and local weather.

I love having an easy access to local news. I wish a longer list on local articles were available. Great job.
