Most unstable app I have ever used. Seriously, its a photocopy of the newspaper, email me the PDF and I'd have a better experience. update - new app looks nicer and is easier to navigate but crashes on S2 tab

D70%
by D####:

New version only has one voice which is not as good as the previous version. Also, can't delete an issue if it didn't download properly

G70%
by G####:

New version worse - can't download or share articles - only links.

M70%
by M####:

Continuously crashing on a Nexus 9 and latest Android

M70%
by M####:

Takes a few minutes to download the full newspaper edition. Navigation is pretty easy. Easy to activate on samsung S5 and iPad Air with Herald subscription. I would like to print the cross word puzzle, but haven't figured that out yet.

Dear print-edition Herald, welcome to Dumpville. Population: you.

F70%
by F####:

All by itself, the app on my Moto X Play just deleted all past issues in my library, reset all settings, and terminated the connection and password to my paid subscription. And now the app won't let me sign in again, saying there are too many access points open. I've had several issues with the app crashing, but never this severe. That's unacceptable performance, Calgary Herald.

R70%
by R####:

The latest version has developed a problem with displaying reader's article comments online. Some will display fine. Others show multiple comment counts but when selected just show a blank window. This has been happening for about 2 weeks. Have tried restarting Android and tried uninstall reinstall of the app. Probably a server level problem as opening a reader comment has to access a server somewhere since reader comments update in real time without a new paper download.

X70%
by X####:

I can log on to the Herald website however app keeps asking me to authorize my device however after entering my user id and password its says it's invalid. No support anywhere.

Z70%
by Z####:

Hate the new update! Commenting removed and if you touch the ikon that shows how many comments there are, the whole program freezes. Asus tablet with 4.4.2

Deleted app , only samples of a month old issue available.

D70%
by D####:

I downloaded the "free" app and all I got were 'samples ' and the latest issue to read was from November 29th. I am uninstalling the app.

M70%
by M####:

The recent update has fixed the problem of the app crashing in lollipop. Now the developers need to fix the issue of articles not displaying properly. It is hit or miss when I click on a story to read it if the app will show the article properly. Common problems encountered: article starts at the second or third paragraph instead of the first, entire article isn't displayed if the article is split across multiple pages. Because of these problems I must "zoom & pan" to read the articles.

Easy to use and great transition from the printed version. Much better than the mobile apps unless you have one of those tiny iPhone things ...

App update to fix Lollipop version upgrade is working. Overall, I like the new looks of Calgary Herald ePaper

D70%
by D####:

Everyone I try to use it, it tells me my subscription is invalid even though I received a confirmation email that my sub is valid. Seeing as this is kind of the main function of this app, definitely not working at all.

Z70%
by Z####:

App should not require device ID or in-app purchases and intermittently crashes on Lollipop. I will uninstall and use other, less invasive, and more modern news sources.

D70%

Since I installed Android 5.0.1 I can download epaper bit can't open it. Very frustrating.

Worst app ever. Constantly freezes whenever scrolling or enlarging to read. Tech support recommends re-installing which did no good at all. App needs a complete overhaul! What a piece of junk.

Why can't I read the Herald on my tablet?

R70%
by R####:

I have used this app for over a year. Recently it has been crashing and refusing to authenticate. If not fixed soon I will cancel my subscription.

K70%

Only downloaded 1 paper since my subscription started one month ago. Continually says I'm not authorized. I had many emails from support, still didn't work. I now give up & cancelling my subscription.

I used this on a nexus 7.works just fine. Perhaps a little refinement on page turn gesture and also remove blue highlighting on article headings, but otherwise quite functional.

Seriously? A photocopy of the print edition? When will we get something that works with the capabilities of a computer? How about links to other stories? What about video?

Needs work...lots of work.
