I've been using Newser since the day it first came out on the Web only. I was probably around 13 at that time and ever since then, Newser has become my first entry point into the news. I've come to rely on it (among others) to keep me up to date on current events. I wish that development would continue on the app since I still use it almost every day. Please modernize the app for us everyday users!

Alot of news but find it difficult to read the red highlights make them another brighter color like green, yellow, or any brighter color. Why not have a setup feature to include that so readers can customize for themselves. I would give more Stars for the effort.

Over the past year, newser has become slower and slower, to the point that 20 percent of the time the story's don't load when selected. It's too aggravating so I took it off my phone. Fix your servers so they don't hang on the loading page.

My favorite news aggregater because most stories are merely two paragraphs long. Summaries that lead to links for more detail are good. I agree, though, with those who say the stories are politically biased. It seems to depend on the writer of each piece. I won't mention names but it's usually very obvious. I'd like a faster supply of new stories but understand economic considerations. 5 stars for the app and most content. The bias and slow appearance of new stories reduced my grade to 3.

USA Today often has interesting links from Newser so I decided to try the app. The user interface is supremely ugly though. Black background? Really? Plus I was looking for a nice list of news items as USA Today displays it - not this ugly interface. I had no urge to look at anything and will delete the app as soon as I've submitted this review. No apparent settings to customize in a usable format. Just ugly ugly ugly.

I like this app a whole lot for news delivery style, but I see lines everywhere after I look at your app. I thought I was just on my phone to much but it's just your app. What's up with those weird lines. Ps please don't install a comment section that is why I like this app. I dont feel compelled to read every a holes opinion and it's beautiful.

I downloaded this app for the news not for your biased political opinions. I open an article about a person defending Trump and the picture is Hillary waiving to the crowd after the debate. I get it, your not a Trump supporter and I don't really care. How about you do your job and just report the news. Biased media outlets like you are a major reason why this country is in the shameful situation it is in. I mean I can get all the media bias I want from CNN. I don't need you

I've had this app for years and appreciate the little blurbs of news that keep me up-to-date, but I have also come to realize how frustrating this app is because it does not update nearly enough. I see maybe 10 new articles throughout the day. With such short articles surely you could flood us with news to scroll through instead of introducing a tiny trickle at a time?

I've been reading newser for a long time now and love it, this app makes it even better except the white text on black background kills my eyes. Please make this adjustable to black text on white background. Please!

This is the first app I pull up when I start playing with my phone. DAILY I read 90 percent of the articles. Love the read less, know more approach. But just because Letterman retired does NOT mean we need a new daily top 10. Not ONE of them is NEWS! If it is so necessary to have a list EVERY day, maybe change the subject from "citys that". Who fn CARES?! NOBODY!! Change it up sometimes if the boss' nephew that loves to make lists can't be replaced with NEWS or at least something interesting!

Compared to the windows version, this one falls short. No comment area and inability to zoom in on media. I loved this app on my old windows phone, now that I have android this app is just a disappointment.

At least pretend you are objective and report the hard news as just that, hard news. I didn't see a single piece about Hilary that was in the slightest way negative. I counted 10 about trump and fox news that were negative. Just another liberal rag.

Good condensed news but it's all MSN bullshit. A bunch of leftist bs. This news site obviously hates conservatives and produces news that only appeals to leftist progressives.

Pics too small. Color is bad. Font is lousy. No settings to allow adjustments.

Quick & dirty is about all... did find articles before other news posted! It's easily read & written for people who don't read a lot.

Good selection of articles, but the Voting part is useless. Stories about death often have a high percentage of hilarious votes. I'd prefer a simple swipe to the next article.

I like it so far. Only thing missing is a weather section? I couldn't find it. Is there one? If not add one.

I've been reading Newser since its debut on the web & have come to rely on it to keep up on the news. It's my primary entry point for news. This app has more recently supplanted the website as my access point; the portability being a major reason. I'd like to see continued development as that seems to have slowed quite a bit. I agree with an earlier review regarding enhanced photographic image support, perhaps as an option. Also, more news type options. Really great app!

They do stories about a video without a link to the video. If you want to view a picture click on it and it makes it an even smaller thumbnail picture. On what planet does this make sense? Weekend news is horrible and they rehash old stories bc they have a weekend skeleton crew. I guess weekday news is more important.

For being such a small app it is quite efficient and so far runs smooth on 4G. They also let you search their archives. Daily Mail could learn a thing or 2 from these guys. I discovered this app at the bottom of the USA Today page.

If u wanna read the same stories for 24 hours, it's great... post less, read less should be their slogan.

Use this app for quick news constantly. Pictures suck because they get smaller when you click on them and you can't comment from app. If you're the first to click on your opinion (hilarious, brilliant, ridiculous, etc), the app obscures your vote and divides evenly among other options. News is good but functionality of app is dismal. Why have pictures and voting ability if it's nonsense? And how could you possibly not figure out how to let us leave comments here?

I was waiting for this app for a very long time, yet slightly disappointed with how it turned out. Would be nice if we could log in and comment and if the stream/stories were laid out better, like maybe a grid?

I've been a Newser loyal consumer since I noticed usatoday linking to them for several of their articles about 5 years ago. But the color of the highlighted text against a black background is illegible. Please change it or give us the option to do so.

Newser is great, but this app closes every time I try to open it on my GS6 edge. I sent an email to the dev, but nothing.

Good app, good new stories. But, when I click on a picture, I can't make that picture larger. Some pics are so small that it is worthless to view. Plus, some pics discussed in text are not even available to view.

Is this the only app in the world that is better supported on Windows Phone? I want to be able to log in and see what I've already read. Please?

I rate this app a solid 5 stars for the simple fact that the Kardashian babble is minimal, at best. The fact that I can click, read, and move on with my life with enough conversational knowledge of current events has markedly led to a better life, and for that, I'm grateful. In the words of my high school friend Sheena, "Keep on truckin'! (My Mom told me to write that.) LYLAS!"

Extremely liberal news app. These people think Hillary Clinton's farts smell like roses. Don't believe 90% of what you read here.

I pretty much have the same gripes as everyone else. Can't enlarge pictures and whatnot. Are you ever going to address this common complaint?

Either my phone updated or newser did and now, as of the 22nd of April, starts then crashes every time I try to open it. It's a great app when it works.

Different enough from news hog that you need both.

I uninstalled and re-installed still no good.

I like the news but I don't like that I can't change my vote if I hit the wrong button. I am posting this same complaint a year later than when I posted it the first time. I also removed 1 star.

Writing is the often incoherent. Stories often late. On the good side they provide link to original story.

Goes days without working, getting worse.

I enjoy Newser but I have had many instances where it didn't work. Indicates "No network connection" yet the works with all othet apps.

constantly says can't find Internet connection even on wifi. I used to love this app on iphone
