Old app was much better with formatting. Cancelling my subscription

Prefer older version. Too confusing to navigate also crashes frequently

Worked for 2 days now keeps crashing. Try and log in to cancel subscription tells me email doesnt exist although i recieved confirmation email ok when they took my money. Seriously dodgy app.

Uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. App crashes every time you try and open an article

Would be great if the app didn't constantly crash. Can't read a single article.

It's been a long road to get to this stage, but finally, near the end of 2017 I can read the paper on my tablet. Click READ and up pops the paper like a bought one. Finally...

We use the app on 2 android devices and 2 ios devices. While we can log in on the android devices the app will not let us log in on the iphones after multiple attempts, uninstall/installs and 2 password resets. We can log in to the web site so it is just the app causing the problem. The new version is not as easy to use as the old one so we have taken to downloading the digital edition. However, now that I have had to update the app on the second android device this won't download the digital edition simply going to 'pause'. Very disappointing and close to cancelling our subscription.

Used to work, but since update no longer works on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 as not compatible. Pretty useless digital subscription now.

Keep crushing. The previous version was far better than this. Very disappointing.

I have all notifications turned off yet I still get unsolicited spam text messages.

The old app was better. This should be an option, not a replacement.

Don't like it. Worst news app I have encountered. Everything all over the place. Much prefer the previous version which had a nice smooth flow. If this is the future, I will be cancelling my subscription and rely on ABC News.

This updated app is terrible. My husband finds this difficult to understand. Even the comic section has changed. Unless this changes back to the old format i will be considering cancelling my subscription.

I want the whole thing

The actual interface of this app is very good. But when a story is opened then you are bombarded with full page ads to sign up for a $5 per month subscription. These notices can't be turned off. The app is good and very smart and clear but you have to pay to read.

This app rarely works properly, if at all. You'd think they'd fix it, but it seems they use a cheap, shoddy app developer who has no interest in developing a working app. I'm a subscriber, although I often ask myself why.

Slow, clunky, unreliable. Hasn't worked properly in a long time. Looking at alternatives to renewing our subscription.

I have been a subscriber for some years and have sent numerous reports of app stopping, particularly on the digital edition. This app is not fit for purpose in my experience.

Worst app ever. only loads half the time. Crossword is corrupted and even when it loads doesn't always show all content. Going back to paper form.

Not all of the days puzzles are shown. No obituaries. On Sundays the comics are the day befores not the ones actually in the paper itself. Very disappointed

Hopeless usless

Great app when it's working but very annoying and frustrating if you leave it and discover that it needs to be downloaded again, especially if you no longer have internet access. Should be an excellent resource to keep in touch with SA news whilst travelling, but often unable to finish reading the paper because no internet.

Typical standard for the Advertiser. Download paper at home and start reading - get on bus and the app says the file does not exist and redownload. A bit difficult to do when only want to download using WiFi.

Currently only get a black screen for the comics. All other pictures are OK. Received uninformed, worthless advice from the help desk. Update: Latest update has fixed this bug.

I wait too long for the latest edition to load up when all I want is the crossword.

HI , I have a issue with the Advertiser app on a Samsung tab S running android 5.0.2 For the last 4 days I have been unable to see the cartoons in the app just a black screen. I have found the apps performance to be poor ever since I subscribed with poor loading speed and continuious formating, gramatical and spelling errors. My wife suffers from the same poor performance on her tablet as well. I have looked at the reviews of the app in the google store and note that we are not alone. Can you please do something about improving this app or we will be forced to cancel our subscription. Matthew Cooke

Crashes need to restart to run cartoons only black screen at the moment for a subscription app very poor this is the way news will be delivered you need to get your act together

There has been no noticeable improvement since I first wrote this several months ago- The print edition stories obtained by tapping on the highlighted headline are very poor. Full of grammatical errors, inconsistent and with missing sentences or words. Very annoying. There appears to be no quality control. The app often is very slow to download the print edition. You have to remember to refresh each day or you will not download the current edition. The magazine sections unnecessarily clog up the screen.

Advertiser, read the reviews and fix the problems.

It does not work properly. It does not load all of the articles. I could access the digital print (full newspaper) originally now that option has disappeared? I will just go back to reading the paper version. What a waste of time this is.
