L'A.N.P.S. - Associazione Nazionale della Polizia di Stato - è stata costituita ed eretta Ente morale con decreto del presidente della Repubblica n. 820 del 7 ottobre 1970 con la denominazione di Associazione nazionale delle guardie di Pubblica Sicurezza. Il 1° aprile 1981, con la riforma e l'applicazione della legge 121, prese la denominazione attuale. Gli associati, che volontariamente aderiscono all'Anps, sono i dipendenti in congedo e in servizio della Polizia di Stato, oltre agli altri soggetti previsti dall'articolo 4 dello Statuto (benemeriti e simpatizzanti). Il presidente onorario del sodalizio è il capo della Polizia - direttore generale della pubblica sicurezza. Sono soci onorari i vice capi della Polizia, i prefetti, i direttori interregionali e i questori in sede, le medaglie d'oro al valore militare, quelle al valore civile e i grandi invalidi della Polizia di Stato. Attualmente l'Anps sul territorio nazionale conta 160 sezioni, all'estero una (a Toronto in Canada), e 35 gruppi. Le finalità dell'associazione sono di alto livello morale e hanno anche lo scopo di mantenere vivo il legame di solidarietà tra il personale in congedo e quello in servizio. L'Anps è custode del Medagliere nazionale nella sede centrale che si trova a Roma, in via Statilia 30. Il Medagliere rappresenta il sacrificio e la dedizione al servizio di tanti operatori della Polizia di Stato che hanno immolato la loro vita per garantire il rispetto delle leggi dello Stato e per tutelare la sicurezza di tutti i cittadini della Nazione. Il loro sacrificio è sempre vivo e presente nell'opera quotidiana di tutti gli appartenenti alla Polizia. L'Anps è una grande famiglia che condivide il motto della Polizia di Stato "Vicini alla gente", protagonista di ieri e di oggi. The A.N.P.S. - National Association of State Police - has been established and built non-profit organization by decree of the President of the Republic n. 820 of October 7, 1970 under the name of National Association of Public Safety guards. On 1 April 1981, with the reform and law enforcement 121, it took its current name. The members, who voluntarily adhere all'Anps are employees on leave and in service of the State Police, among other subjects covered by Article 4 of the Statute (meritorious and sympathizers). The honorary president of the association is the Chief of Police - Director General of Public Security. Honorary members are the deputy heads of the Police, prefects, interregional directors and the quaestors at the time, the gold medals for valor, the civic value and the helplessness of the State Police. Currently the ANPS the country has 160 sections, one abroad (in Toronto, Canada), and 35 groups. The association's aims are high moral standard and also aims to keep alive the bond of solidarity between staff on leave and the one on duty. The ANPS is the custodian of the National Medal in the head office which is located in Rome, in via Statilia 30. The Medal represents the sacrifice and dedication to the service of many workers of the State Police who sacrificed their lives to ensure compliance State laws and to protect the security of all citizens of the nation. Their sacrifice is always alive and present in the daily work of all members of the Police. The ANPS is a big family which shares the motto of the State Police "Neighbors to the people", the star of yesterday and today.
