The best music player in the app store, bar none. I've tried countless music players and this one is the one for me. A little technical for some users, but with all the customizations available, nothing else's better. Best sound, and the equalizer options are endless!!!

I have purchased this app from Google play store and download on my Android Lenevo K5 vibe and performance is very nice, but it is regret to say that neutron (Eval) is not running on my Android laws Iris x8.why, when I already purchased for RS. 400/-?

For music support it's great. But yet again, here's another app that completely ignores the tablet users and market. On my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition the interface is scaled huge, as if it was made for a child, which basically tells me it's a scaled version of the phone interface. SMB support is a bit iffy. Trying to find a player that fully supports pulling from a Windows networked source (in this case, my home theater rack server) is tricky to begin with. I had to finagle it quite a few times to get it working. I know it claims to support streaming sources (I have ShoutCAST set up on that same internal server) but trying to get to a place I can open the stream URL is not evident... and that's about where my evaluation copy ran out and locked me out from further testing. Even though the price has come down a couple dollars, I just can't justify buying it without the creators addressing these concerns.... I may simply use my iPhone instead.

This is a very good app with lots of options and control. However, for a lot of us, audiobooks and podcasts make up a significant part of our listening time. The speed control in this app is the worst I've encountered! Every other player I've tested does a near-perfect job of speeding playback if they have the option. However, Neutron's implementation sounds like they are talking through a toilet-paper-roll tube into a tin can. ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS!!!

The app is not worth the steep price UI freezes on Moto G5 plus running stock Android N. Certainly won't buy it in current version. UI needs serious improvement in stability and design. If you give me a free license I can give you more feedback. Can't use at current stability. Audio quality is superb though.

A70%
by A####:

The UI definitely needs some work, but it has Samba. $8 may be a little steep, but it works better than Play Music, so an alright purchase for a SMB music player.

B70%

Great player my problem is it will play about 30 sec of a song then go to the next song, theres no ring tones on it

D70%
by D####:

Has replay gain, but media library is very inconvenient to navigate. For a start, the player insists on having a number next to every song. I guess this is useful if your songs are organized into albums? When I'm viewing the whole song list, the numbers go up to something ridiculous: 1600s. This interferes with quick scanning of the list. It would be useful it one could control what exactly is displayed in the list view, but I couldn't locate this feature (disabling the Track Nr display in the options does NOT fix this. Maybe because there are no track numbers specified in my meta data?). Uninstalling.

I've tried all of the popular players and none of them match Neutron for high fidelity. Yes the UI is clunky but very functional once you get used to it. Very configurable. I'm purchasing the licensed version. Running Etymotic ER4P headphones on a M8

P70%
by P####:

Okay, but. CONS: has a very confusing UI, won't play folders sequentially or tracks unless in a playlist, expensive as there are free apps which have the same functionality, such as Foobar2000. PROS: supports UPnP/DLNA media servers, very good crossover and track fading abilities that actually work. This could be a really good music player if it was redesigned. When you're on a screen wondering how to get back to another screen, something's wrong with the UI! When I open a music app I would like to see the main player, if I want to change the settings then have a drop-down menu button, in other words a simple and intuitive UI. A classy 3D design would be nice with an easy way to download and apply skins.

Without a doubt, the best mass-transit commuting app available. You literally cannot get lost, either by bus or train, AND you always get the most time-efficient route. Now includes Helsinki and Arkham, Mass. Amazing!
