I love this app it does it's job... All i want too see is profiles so we can choose what we want to turn off like an automatic switch that flips and slides what we want it a second... Now I can know the data traffics of my phone. Can be better if it would not shutting down, restarting itself while blocking YouTube streaming, and have a fixed data usage cycle like the Android system does, so I can monitor my monthly reset data usage amount better. // However, app data usage checking is not as good as Android build-in. And after uninstall, many apps cannot receive notification instantly as before.

I would like bump my score to 5. I can't cause I have no say as to how much mobile data is likely to go past the Firewall. I'm allowed to restrict background processing, limit WI-FI,& I should be able to limit mobile data to zero y type, + period. When Mobiwol feels under pressure it grabs the mobile data switch, & away it goes. I can't stop it. Update your App & I'll re_rate the Mobiwol Firewall. I like the bones and the small bodywork. But what Mobiwol needs is more muscle, guts & better links to android

I have used this app for about a month rooted & stock. This puppy seems all it says. Killing all those background ET (phone homw) apps works wonders! And lo & behold the app tells you when & what & to what IP it blocks. Exactly what a firewall should do. Battery life is up 40%. It has an On/Off switch, rules...well it's nice! Thanks so much!!

Good: Mostly automatic functioning. Apps just connect (or not) in real time, which makes total sense. Simple interface, so anyone can easily use it. Separates mobile, wifi and background permissions. Needs work: firewall often goes off and on, allowing all manner of malicious connections to flood your phone. Also: I know it would be great if firewall could just *be on* at boot, but the devs explained in correspondence that it can't due to Android restrictions. All in all, best I've used.

the app is straightforward and easy to use. Just one concern though, that is once the firewall is on, it is visible on the drop down notification panel. is there a way to hide it or password protect it from disconnecting it? Reason, if I use this app to restrict data usage on my kids phone, i do not want them to disconnect the mobiwol firewall easily. i can password protect the app, but not the firewall connection notification on the drop down panel. This app is AMAZING!!! I've stopped TMo, LG, & Google apps! Works so well, apps I normally use were getting the boot

I just got the Samsung gs 6 edge and all works fine except, that I cannot send any text messages with mobiwol turned on. I have to turn mobiwol off in order to send texts, but that defeats the purpose of blocking apps connecting to Internet. Running 5.0.2. :::::::::::::::::::REPLY:::::::::::::::::::: My phone is fully updated. I even gave all processes permission,WiFi and data, to Internet and still I can receive text messages, but can't make them.

Using on LG phone. Stable, easy on the eyes, fast but light. Just a couple things I'd love to see, though. As the info explains having the blue shield revived from to bar and (even though it's party of Android and not Mobiwol) hiding the "key" icon from the bar. Just a pet peeve of mine, task bar should be for important updates and "Push"es.

Nice way to control the access that apps have. Loses 2 stars because "No Background" feature does not work. An app does not get access to the internet when its active (in the foreground). I need to manually switch off the No Background option for an app to get access, despite it being active. Devs need to look into this for it to become a seamless experience.

Application works perfectly. Only issue is I cannot use third party VPN, like hotspot shield, when using this app. Connecting to other VPN disconnects this one. Would definitely rate this as 5 stars if this is fixed.

You figured out how to run the firewall and long story short - without the annoying notification. As promised - 5 stars. Update: that was a rushed decision...could you also try working out how to remove the Key icon from the right side of the notification strip (where regularly the signal bars, time, Wi-Fi, battery etc icons are)? First I don't know how to root my device so I stay away from root apps. Mobiwol-No Root is the best android firewall that I have used so far. Other app were confusing and my phone would go all buggy because I would set it up wrong, mostly by trial & error. Then I'll have to go back in and try to fix it, by trial & error again. With Mobiwol-No Root I didn't have this problem. After installation the app ran smoothly. It didn't interrupt my internet connections like other apps. Configuration was simple.

Worked like a charm till my phone updated to Marshmallow. Now it keeps crashing and restarting. Sometimes it shows that it's working but it does not allow any data to be sent or received at all.

Great app, easy to use! I'm only missing the option to make the blue shield icon and the unread log notification in my statusbar invisible. Would be great if that would be implemented in the next update!

I tried this app about a year ago and came across this again so I decided give it another try. I'm impressed on how much this app progressed. Works great when it's running but it fails to start at boot. Always have to manually start it when my phone boots and yes it's set to start at boot in settings. Other than that it works. Please fix boot issue.

Mobile connections seem touch and go. Sometimes they work, sometimes everything's blocked. First noticed it with 4g but soon found out 3g was also affected. Have already tried clearing app data.

I tried 2 other leading similar app, but they both failed to block data to some apps (e.g. "Roll the ball"). This app blocked correctly. So I give thumb up to this app.

Seems to work OK but crashes frequently. Using this as a way of blocking certain apps from mobile data which otherwise have no other settings available to block and can be very costly. Crashes mean these apps can still access mobile data while the app is crashed.

Early days, like but some things are annoying me all ready. Firstly why cant i hide both phone bar icons? With all the system icons i have no space for any other notification. Secondly, wish i could hide the log and open it as required. Bar yep nice app thats required.

I am using mobiwol for few years. It was a great application indeed but nowadays stopped working efficiently. When it is on internet connection is totally blocked. Only whatsapp is partially connecting and also it is not working at background however it was not setup like that. Uninstalled and reinstalled the mobiwol but seems nothing changed. Please help :(

THIS APP USES UP A LOT OF MOBILE DATA FROM PHONE. IT IS PROBABLY TAKING ALL YOUR PERSONAL DATA TO ITS SERVERS. DO NOT DOWNOAD THIS MALWARE.

I love the apk but there is an issue, when I leave the phone for long time. And someone sends mw whatsapp message. It doesnt give notification. When I unistalled mobiwol. It didnt happen anymore. Plz update and help.

It seems dumb that you must root your device in order to protect your privacy now that Google has done away with app ops. Strange since IOS still has easy to use privacy features without jailbreaking. This app provides restores some control at the network layer without having to hack your device.

Very good app its solve my problem i lost my credit due to mobile data social package every time which allowed me only facebook and whatspp but now i am happy that i found this app and test it and amazing work by developers .. hope for more cheerup

The only thing I would recommend is that some people likes to have their Restrictions organized so, can you add a feature where "Presets" can be made and customized by users? Without having to search for Apps to turn off/on every time?

Does (mostly) what it says on the tin, some apps (despite being allowed) aren't able to access the internet fully though which causes them not to launch at all. Constantly switching between this and NoRoot Firewall as they each seem to block different apps. It also prevents me connecting my iPad to my phone's mobile network, with no clear way of allowing it.

Number one in my book. No bad guys getting my stuff and keeping me safe as a bug in a rug. Don't wait get it now. Better than all the security app that do nothing. Great job. And no Ad's some apps need to connect without the VPN but not a problem, l just shut it down and restart if I have to or add the app to the exception

I turn on the Firewall Status. The allow it to create the VPN question is presented. I tap ok, and then nothing happens. The only way I can get the message to go away is to press cancel.

The only firewall which actually blocks the internet connections absolutely reliably. I tested almost all root firewalls and they all did let ads leak through and fully blocked apps did appear in data usage. But Mobiwol does the trick. The only downside is that is uses quite a bit of the battery. In my case it makes top of the list with 6% of all usage on my Galaxy S5 CM 12.1. I think it was after a recent update. Thus only 3 Stars. Please Mobiwol fix the battery problem.

Android firewalls all fall short to even old windows firewalls from years ago. Since there are only a few available, this one is nice when my device isn't protected by a home server customized firewall. The fact this logs activity in and out gives this one a star in it self.

I wanted to block Google Photos from automatically uploading photos/videos when I connect to Mobile Hotspot WiFi. Even after disabling wifi, mobile access and restricting the background data access the photos got uploaded when the firewall was active!!!

Cannot be used with background data restricted as some apps like messenger cannot get a connection if you do. Unless there is a setting I am missing Just to clarify it is with data restricted on Android not the device that causes no connection and is not restricted to one application but many if not all and goes away when Mobiwol is deactivated.

i wish i could give 5 stars, but stopping app functions without making it obvious that mobiwol needs to be disconnected causes me to give 2 stars instead. the following email was responded to, but no help on this issue. following from 3/13/15 email: all question related to 3g. background data: on my old android 2.1 if i tried to access something that needed background data, i'd get a notice about background data. with mobiwol it seems things just don't work till i figure out why. as a result i don't dare limit anything not knowing how apps interrelate. so, i've reverted back to a "data on-off" widget even tho i think mobiwol is a better solution. i show 74 apps in the firewall rules. too long to list but any guidance? for instance can google maps work without google account manager? will "email app" work and refresh if i disable 3g in gmail app? i refresh email when necessary and use google maps to avoid traffic jams. i use opera mini for search under 3g. bottom line, i'd like to be told i've switched something off that needs to be on. dave

With lollipop it worked fine. It was the only firewall app that when it crashed started again on lollipop. And the Beauly crashed. yesterday I updated to marshmallow and it keeps crashing all day long. I had to change to NOROOT FIREWALL from Grey shirt again. That one crashes also but less. Please update this app. You also can't search the apps anymore KEEPS CRASHING WITH MARSHMALLOW.

Does a great job of blocking ads when playing games and using offline free apps by disabling all Net access. Lets me know what apps are connecting to the Net. Being no root means a couple of extra steps on boot up, but a small price to pay for the extra security. No noticeable slow down or data usage or battery drain. Stopped Youtube app loading on startup. Some reviews on Google express concerns about what the developer is tracking - guess that is up to you whether to trust them or not.

App uses close to 10% of my battery and causes my phone to become very hot after android latest update! Not very compatible with android 5.0.2 yet!
