181.FM

Great app. Been listening to 181.FM for years. I discovered it using Winamp, which I still use on my PC. I now have this app on my old smartphone in the garage, where I just run it on wireless. Not many commercials, most of which are Progressive Insurance ads. Listening to "Chilled", I have discovered much, much talent; Delerium, Elohim, Lights, Sia (years before mainstream), M83, Beach House, Birdy, Trespassers William, Dark Dark Dark, Freelance Whalers, Thievery Corporation, Conjour One, Rae Morris, Poe and all of the other beautiful voices that sing for Delerium and Conjour One.

Well. I thought I had found the answer to my 181.fm listening pleasure. Oh dear everything looked cool but only some of the streams work and not enough background info on the the artist/show. Please improve for next update. Thankyou

Great app! Does exactly what I want it to do, play music! Thanks for not bogging it down with a bunch of fancy and unnecessary crap!

Worked well until I upgraded to Android N - no icon in the title bar, nothing in the drop down, will not stop streaming when the phone rings to name a few issues.

This app has been a 'must have' on all my devices since day 1. Very disappointing to find that it no longer works. Constant 'data connection stalled' error despite re-installing multiple times.

It used to be good. Now it says stalled all the time bye bye

Virtually useless app. It doesn't let you seek all the stations provided by 181.FM and worse, it omits many of its other stations. I have to use the TuneIn Radio app to listen to "181.FM Christmas Standards"! I always use my Google Nexus 7" tablet, running Android 5 Lollipop.

Great stations. One thing you could add is have the audio pause when Maps is giving directions.

I'm a fan of 181 fm. But app sucks. Though I use 1gbps world's fastest internet, it shows data connection stalled

Data stalled. Everything else works, including the FM 181 web site. Removed

Easiest online music player I have yet

I enjoy this app quite a bit. Very few ads. Sound quality is good. Could stand a little more variety on the comedy channel. Doesn't bear up to repeated listening as there are many tracks that are played repeatedly. Also stations quit playing altogether. This especially true of the niche genres. For example, the reggae stream stops after the station ID break... every time. That said, it is far preferable to iheartradio.

Just uninstalled this crap. The music selection on the genres are good but the app Lacks good functionality with car stereos. Doesn't transmit song info and will stop streaming frequently. They are only interested in the ads. Install one of the other apps that say 181.fm they are much better

Stable quality connection, and the connection stalling issue is no more!!! Song tagging works well, but tags can't be removed/editted/sorted so it ends up being an alphabetically sorted list of songs you liked ages ago. song info/history/favorite stations work like a charm. Much faster and lighter than tunein app, so use this app now all day every day...

Since the last update the app has become useless. Used to be my favorite music app before but am now uninstalling the app. Will try again in the future.

Latest update makes data stall error a permanent feature. App us now completely unusable. Back to tunein i go... Old review: Stable and quality connection, but sometimes it just stalls for no reason. I love this app for listening to the radio, the only problem is that I frequently get a data stalled message with some of my favourite stations and it takes ages for the app to fix itself. Also there is no way to report bugs to the dev team. Otherwise this is fantastic.

Hasn't worked on my Note 4 for last couple of updates. Stream is choppy and sounds speeded up.

I have been listening for years on the laptop and have been trying to get music from their website on my phone and couldnt for the longest time then, just now found the app on play store!!! SOOOO STOKED! THANK YOU!

I use to love this app, till recently, now it starts station then keeps stopping, please fix, tired of uninstalling then reinstalling over and over.

The once most awesome online radio now sounds like the worst DJ scratching a record at a frat party. A real pity.

I need to get rid of the ads. There should be a paid version. Other than the ads, it's a good app.

I like this app most days. Unfortunately, data stalled error message is regular event. Plus, there seems to be no way to exit except by rebooting my phone. The variety of stations that are offered are great, albeit there are more Christmas stations than anything else. All that said, I replaced Iheartradio with it.

Streaming stops after a few mins. Other apps work fine so this is a bug with this app.

I love country, that's why I use this station. However it says data connection stalled.

Too many ADs. There should be a paid version that is AD free.

Every time I use the app or try to it says data connection failed yet my data is just fine with every other app.. Please fix

Best feature is its simplicity. Doesn't make me create an account. Please don't change a thing.

Commercials suck but the stations are excellent. Fantastic variety. If I could pay for no commercials I would!

Just wished it was on T-Mobile's Music Freedom List.
