Screen Adjuster Free for Android
This app is great because it allows us to change the hue of the screen thus allowing us to make our screens red light rather than white light. Red light doesn't affect the brain in the same way as white light does. The brain is stimulated by white light to stay awake so we don't get tired wen we should be because we're using our phones. Now we can use our phones late into the night without being as badly affected.
This app can take the screen brightness way below what android software allows, which is perfect for late night phone checking. It crashes every once in a while but restarting it is all it needs. Easy to turn off as well through the window shade.
This app is the best screen adjuster I could find in the Play Store, I tried others but they didn't work as good as this. My screen had a very very slght pink tint and just adding +1 of green and +3 of blue made it absolutely perfect. The only problem I have is I don't have the auto run feature which is annoying as I have to activate the app each on boot. Other than that it worked perfectly. Would the developer please advise on why the ad free version is not available?
Would be perfect if it had the ability to import an image from the device to show behind the sliders (which could serve as your calibration image). As it is, its hared going back and forth to the home screen to see what it looks like on my Tab S running cyanogen.
I used to have screen retention issue on my lgv10, like other devices I also wanted to have screen colour setting in my phone but it never came out of the box, finally something strikes in my mind I search it here and my issue is gone. I don't see any image retention now. Feeling so good. Thank you developer.
Disable this app if you plan on taking screenshots, as they will come out funny colors. Then re-enable screen adjuster
Especially useful if you have migraines. I use it to lower the contrast level keep the screen more on the grey washed out side so it doesn't trigger migraines. You can easily turn it off as it stays in your task bar. I switch bw it easily when needed.
Some screens have a yellowish tint. Using the blue filter helps to correct this somewhat. Would be even better if app allowed lowering tint level as well as increase. Annoying pop up constantly asks you to rate this app.
My nexus 6p looks more of yellow hint on screen and looks as if my mobile has jaundice.. This app works decently.. Saw changes bit but not too pleasing
This app is probably exactly what you need. Sliders to lower brightness below whats normally allowed, sliders to adjust a tinted lense over your screen. Very simple UI no BS. My one problem is on my Nexus 5x the bottom bar is unaffected by the brightness change. This is especially bad when it is the color of the background like in the home screen.
Got a moto x gen 2. Was kind of a tint boxed (they always sell rejects to people) but this program did the trick. Try it if you got a tinted Android phone.
The app itself works pretty well to dim the screen, but it drains the battery instead of saving it from the dimmer screen. My phone shows it is using GPS the whole time it is running. No need! Switching to an app that doesn't waste my battery.
So we have a field of dimming right until the on screen buttons. And they're annoying undimmed. Any way to fix it?
Great app. Dropped my phone and now the screen has a green tinge. This app adjusts the colour so it's not as bad. Still have green lines here and there but at least the entire screen isn't greenish!
Does it's job well, only annoying thing is the notification tray icon is constantly there when the app is on. if I could turn that off then I would rate 5 stars easy.
For some reason this app uses 8gb of data monthly and drains your battery. It uses GPS for unknown purposes. It is supposed to dim your display which should use less power and should not use any significant data. Do yourself a favor and pick a different app.
Netflix and other videos seem too dark, and the details are hard to see. Like dark hair and a dark suit against a park background at night, for example, would make everything sort of blend together. So all you'd be able to make out would be the face, white shirt, and hands. That's a gamma adjustment issue. In this app, just fiddle with the contrast setting, and suddenly all the heavy shadows are lightened. You can see details like you should be able to.
It would be a little bit better if the numbers were like how a regular display calibrator would be, but other than that its great app! Also developers, remember to compensate for the navigation button area because the changes that I made with your app stop there
This is a super important app if your phone has an old OLED display. This app can correct yellow tinted displays. Just adjust the blue color until your display becomes natural. Also this app can correct poorly color calibrated LCD displays. If you have difficulties watching darker scenes in movies, you can adjust screen contrast using this app. This is a very useful app to me. Also not too much ads in it.
This works so well. Especially when I want to read in bed at night when the screen doesn't need to be so bright. Saved energy, too.
It does a good job tinting the screen, however there are three things it lacks. The first is that it leaves a strip along the bottom of the screen that is untinted. This creates a bright and eye irritating strip of light. The second is that it doesn't tint the internet screen very well. The last is that it doesn't indicate which color hues will filter out the blue light, which is known to be harmful to the central macular vision of the eye. All of this said, it is still helpful to have the bright white/blue light of the screen toned down. Even better would be if Google included a macular eye vision saving filter on all it's devices.
This app works by appying a transperant colored overlay (a software color filter) over the display in hopes to filter out excessive colors. Doing so is resource intensive and drains battery and significantly impacts GPU performance, and reduces the color range, brightness, and contrast. Some of these effects are desirable but I want to do the blue filtering without reducing color gamut or contrast. Unfortunately without deep system permissions that's impossible.
Lately my Samsung s4 zoom display shows purple blotches. I dropped it many times before and I dont know howI managed to keep my screen intact despite my clumsiness. However this issue Im dealing with right now probably is the result of my negligence and it had me worried for awhile until a website suggested to use this app. It did not permanently solved the issue but its the best temporary solution there is. Once I run it, it makes me feel like my phone is normal again. Thank you and more power!
I had once given it five stars but now on android l, the keyboard has a huge delay in response whenever I'm running this app. Love the app but really hope they fix this cuz it's a deal breaker
Totally what I was looking for, but it requires FAR too many permissions to do is job. Why does a screen dimmer need access to GPS and my bookmarks?
Took the yellow tint out of whites on Moto X Pure Edition by adding more blue (+15). For some reason I am not able to purchase the ad free version of this app (Payment Method declined - I tried all, Google Pay, PayPal, credit card) so I had to buy "Screen Tint Adjuster" app instead.
System bar icon will not disappear on 2 lollipop devices even when set in options. Devices have been rebooted. Notification says 'Touch for more information or to stop the app'. So it loses a star because of this.
Use it to reduce blue component and lower brightness when reading at night. On/off toggle sometimes shows opposite of real state, bit that's minor
Didnt seem to work outside the app and it's supposed to be a tint not so dark uou can't read anything
I have a note 3 in 4.3, for some reason thought the app works great in its main job it does a strange bug to apk files, they simply don't work, the "install" button it's grayed out and I have to disable the app in order to continue the instalation. This is very troublesome and for now stops me for using it everyday.
I used this device for a short period of time to reduce the brightness of my screen. This works well. Days later, while NOT using this application I notice my GPS is constantly in use. GSam Battery Monitor has found the only application using GPS since I last unplugged is THIS application. There is absolutely no acceptable reason this application should need GPS. EVER!
This is a potentially useful app, but the status bar icon can't seem to be disabled in either the free or paid versions - please fix.
I purchased a $40 7-inch tablet just for fun. The screen is almost unreadable. Screen Adjuster has made it livable.
I uninstalled as soon as I realised the numbers of permission required, after using it for months! This kind of app needs only one permission to work : draw over other app.
Wasn't able to make my screen look any better but I have a feeling my screen is already pretty natural looking so changing anything just made it worse. but the app works great if you have a screen that needs some color or contrast adjustment.
My Xperia Z Ultra HD screen is beautiful, indeed however, some movies have way too much contrast. Sony has no control for contrast but Screen Adjuster flatened it down perfectly. Thank you for a great App.
Didnt seem to work outside the app and it's supposed to be a tint not so dark uou can't read anything
Temporarily switched to an iphone, and hated how apple didn't have a similar app. Went back to Android with the Note 4 - and this was one of my immediate downloads. Easy on the eyes, which is exactly what I need. Great app! Love it. =)
Great blue light filter with options to assist contrast for reading in the dark. Can't think of anything it needs. Disable from the pull down in the morning.

If I turn any of the color sliders up even one mark my deep blacks start to get lighter n go grey scale. Adjusting the brightness and contrast only gives more of a grey scale feel. Also no matter how much I turn up the color sliders my reds greens n blues never get any more vibrant they stay the same. Not compatible with my cheap irulu ax109 tablet running 4.0.1 I guess.
