The app won't logon with a fingerprint, it mearly shuts off the phone, I see no options to set it up. After making changes to wifi it disconnects from the wifi and can't find it again, even though the phone is still connected. I have to log off the app and reconnect.

garbage app for $150.00 router. Get it together Netgear...your product support is AWFUL for a billion dollar company!?!?

Garbage made my wifi more slow i was getting 200+mbps and did update with this app and know its at 40mbps

Can't log in.. tried every password I can think of.. no other options..email adress, admin and password, and even the serial number. . Nothing.. is this a joke or something, I'm not laughing. .

No one likes this app it SUCKS its no help at all.

Yet another app for managing Nighthawk routers, really! Can we just have one, and one that's works well, is fully featured for both basic and advanced configuration. This is so halfed baked what's the point???

First of all, for all the idiots here saying their device isn't supported, you first need to update the firmware on the router BEFORE you can connect anything to it, including this app. I just bought the R7000 a couple days ago and it took about an hour to get it all set up. Once I did it all works perfectly, this app as well as their genie app. Update first via PC!

Would love to see a feature that shows current bandwidth usage as per the router webpage. This would then allow me to identify which devices are causing latency whilst I'm gaming and disable them. QoS doesn't seem to be having any effect

It didn't work for me. To top it off, the customer service (when you can get them) are awful. Router is going back and switching to another brand. Don't bother with creating a priority ticket, you'll still be on hold for 45 minutes, get disconnected, and have to start all the way over.

Complete and utter POS. There is a note in my AC1900 box telling me do download the app. When I open the app, it says that my device is not supported. Returning the router.

Great app it allowed me to change router name and password and let's me adjust security. Although make sure your connected to your router before trying the app it helps.

One of the best application i've ever used. I prefer this application over the Netgear Genie. It let's you update the router quickest and easiest way. And it also let's you manage most important configuration at your tip of your hands.

Why no support for the R8000. Why leave previous gen in the dark. Dissappointing.

In general it just doesn't function like you need it to. Information is often inaccurate or missing and the app itself is incredibly slow.

I was very impressed with how easy it was to set up my router with this streamlined app. The only thing it could do better would be to allow me to change the network SSIDs and admin router password right from the app instead of having to go through a browser after it's set up. But I guess they have another app for that. Still. 5 stars. Well-designed and simple. I bet my grandma could have done it. Well. If my grandma knew the first thing about WiFi...hah

OMG! Are you kidding me?! This is the best thing that has ever happened to me! This app made upgrading a router ridiculously easy!!! Literally by lying in my bed pressing buttons. Now the whole house can enjoy the Shava MX (with very annoying and very unhelpful customer service) without ethernet like a boss! How do I give this thing 10 stars?! Crying tears of joy after a very frustrating 3 days.

Bricked my new router, had to get it replaced. Netgear support advised not to use this app for initial setup or firmware update as it can damage the hardware.

Was a little nervous as it didn't seem like it was going to work it kept saying connect modem to router. The app made the process so easy!

I'm a long-term IT guy and have never had such an easy and or faster router deployment than with this app. It's intuitive and effortless. Nice surprise for once from any vendor.

Have had a rough and tumultuous history with router set-ups, so I was bracing myself for the worst. Ended up being actually such a pleasant experience and has definitely relieved some repressed memories and emotions in the process. 5/5

App made set up a breeze. I'll always use their products now. As long as you do step by step no matter how trivial, this app will walk you through set up, personalize your features, and give you your connectivity info.

Honestly, one of the easier router setups I've ever done. It's intuitive and well designed. I haven't yet used it for router management but I don't foreseen any difficulties.

Not too Savvy with this electronic stuff. But this was so simple to use. Would recommend this to everyone I know.

Im impressed....my grandparents in their 70's were able to set up their router using this app with 0 problems....and they still call a router a cable box
