Useful Knots - Tying Guide for Android
Really fun and informative app, reminded me of my scouting knots. Development seems to be ongoing with a great selection. Definitely an app made out of enjoyment and greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Very useful, have used a lot of these knots shown in this app to improve my hooch and have recommended it to my soldiers.
Could maybe do with an extra picture/step for some knots
Some pictures are very dark.
Useful app though, however the color selection is not so good.
Great repository of knots.
doesn't works successfully in android 6
Un-Clear images do not show over and under rope paths well.Good descriptions on some knots. But one thing i'd like to see is the ability to Rotate Images, as some viewpoints are not Natural to the way you would Tie the knots.
I like this app because it is easy to navigate, has clear photos of the knots at each significant stage, so you can visualize where the rope goes between each step. I also like the brief history, uses, and warnings about when the knot could be misapplied.
Love knots and the many uses. I dont use often enough to remember most, so this app comes in handy. Consider adding the tumble hitch, as its easier to tie and more secure than the highwaymans quick release.
I went in to do a backhand hitch and it said to do s simple half hitch...sorry but i have no idea what that is and there is no option on the list to show me!
I found this app to be very well made, simple to use, and practical. Adds are unintrusive, and the images are sharp ando eas tof read. It takes a little careful study to determine exactly where/how the rope is weaving, but that is to be expected. The steps are easy enough to follow, even on the harder ones. Great app for learning some basic "useful knots" and I'd recommend it.
Select a knot category, choose a type of knot, then either read the up/down scroll text instructions or the excellently left/right scroll photos with the text overlaid. I don't know knot terms but I very quickly found the knot I wanted and easily followed the illustrations / text guide.
A knot is art. Witch im not good at. With this app the art of tieing a knot is done in great detail. Many knots I tried I was able to did & tie the first time. Now thats a great app. Many thanks.
The app is pretty good, but there are not enough pictures for some of the knots explaining what exactly to do and the description does not make up for that.
Gunna go try these instructions out now. Trying to build myself a tri pod table out of hemp rope and any good wood I can find
Very clear pictures and steps provided. Well designed app enjoyable to use. I was looking for a reminder of how to do a load tie-down knot. The truckers hitch is much better than what I was doing before.
WHY CANT I, WHY WONT YOU Let me
Incredibly useful, well organized, clear, intuitive are but a few adjectives that describe this app. Well done and thank you dev!
I've used this app several times hunting and camping. It's one of the few truly useful apps on my phone.
And the Developer's don't require ANY intrusive permissions. Thank you!
It's cool but could add what it's used for and show some snares get back to me
Some predictive search could be a small feature , helpful if you not sure of full name or spelling. Animated gif style video could be real cool. Do you have a you tube channel ?
Superior
I've learned a few useful knots just from a couple of minutes from this app.
All the good knots and detailed info on how to tie them. Keep the updates coming.
Could use a color change to better show rope on top or bottom
I use this just about every time I camp.
It's just good. Teaches you the basics and gets to the challenging ones.
Images are hard to make out. Makes the whole thing kind of pointless.
What a good and useful app keep up the good work
A good selection of knots, well explained. The pictures are clear and helpful, though sometimes you need to zoom in to see which piece of rope is on top.
All your wasn't too know about knots
Drawings not clear
Good app useful... uhh... I guess ill learn some n c!!
Using for rigging my tarp when I backpack.
Excellent app practically and application
Good history and uses of nots but not helpful to actually tie knot.
It is so good I can't describe it

Some knot pictures OK but app color scheme is bad for colorblind people. Cannot see red text on black background. Some ropes also red and black, so it is difficult to see details of many knots.
