I spent the last several days at the battlefield in Gettysburg. This app is an excellent tool to get the overview of the battle. The feature I like the best is the field glasses. This allows you to see what you are looking at, and labels it for you. You also have the option of taking a picture of what you are looking at with the labels appearing on the picture. Another great feature is that you can download the database when needed. I recommend this as some carriers have sketchy coverage.

Terrible execution. Doesn't follow android design guidelines, force closes A LOT.. Probably twenty times in the day... Map navigation didn't maintain a GPS lock, field glasses was cool but could use more points and coding fixes (screen flickers) and take picture didn't work.

Used this program a lot last summer, worked great while touring the Devil's Den area. New version now appears to have less detail. Organized by day of battle instead of battlefield area, no more "battlefield challenge". Most importantly, the map no longer works, just loads a blank gray screen with no troops. Field glasses function makes program force close. Was a useful program, too bad dev killed it.

This is a great app for the price. While it doesn't cover the entire three day battle, the two areas it does cover are well documented. Some people that give it low marks forget how much occurred at Gettysburg vs. other battles. Thanks for a well coded, historically accurate, and FREE app.

Does not direct you clearly from one vantage point to another. Hard to navigate even though I downloaded the map. Expected more audio than the sidebar clips provided. My 1996 vintage audio tour tape was more substantial. Would pay for a better app.
