KitKat Clock for Android
I really like the app for all the individual clocks and also that a click on the clock leads you straight to the alarms. But frankly, the alarm is rubbish. It hasn't woken me up a single time in the last week and only tentatively rings when I sit next to it trying to figure out what's wrong. I have now given up and if I find the clock that I am using in another app, I'll delete this one. Too bad.
If you are running lollipop then the alarm will not sound. It will beep once while in normal sound mode (nothing if on silent or vibrate) and then the notification will be automatically dismissed. Please test before use as you will most likely be late for work!!
Like title, I updated my Note 4 to 5.0.1 and now all my alarms are silent and I sleep through them. No clue what's wrong. Very annoying.
I just got a Z3 Compact, and Sony's alterations to the Clock app are awful and lose early dismiss alarms. It's wonderful to get the real Clock app back! UPDATE: App is broken on Lollipop, alarms do not work!
Timer stopwatch and clock work fine, but the alarm does not work. It gives a silent notification in the task bar, but the sound and or vibration do not trigger. Android 5.1.1 not sure if app is version specific?
If you stay in the app it works just fine but I found a problem though. When using the Chronometer and I need to go to another app or even tilt my device, I get a message that the app stopped working; the app disappears from the screen but the Chronometer continues to count. Weird bug.
The only thing the current Android clock has over this one is a garish colour scheme, and access to a ton of unnecessary permissions.
This is unique feature I didn't find in other applications. It allows me to to let my family sleep, when I woke up before an alarm started.
I'm installed this clock when it got a new device last year. I'm rated it five stars then. But Lollipop broke it. Google's response ... "Ahhhh. Too bad."
If you have Android Lollipop, the alarm will not work unless your screen is on. I really wish you could fix this because I don't want to go back to the disgusting TouchWiz clock.
Sad that the clock changed for the worse in releases after Kit Kat, as mentioned in other reviews, the Samsung clock/alarm is awful.
I liked it. No longer works after the lollipop update on the at&t galaxy note 4. It plays the first note of the alarm and then I get a notification that I missed the alarm. Not as helpful as it used to be. Back to the Samsung app. Meh.
Worked great until then, now only works occasionally or not at all. Has screwed me up already. HTC One M8 Verizon. Please fix
The stopwatch makes the application crashes after pressing home button. I would also like to have the original circular time selection...
Would be great if I knew the alarm would consistently work. Sometimes it does, sometimes the alarm goes off for a second, and sometimes not at all, which makes it a useless app. Uninstall.
Samsung default alarm stop ringing after one minute and I hear that the original Google alarm app doesn't and I found this, the only thing missing now is a widget for the alarm.
First day I used it, worked great. Second day, first alarm barely went off but my 2nd alarm went off. Third and fourth days, no alarm at all! Droid turbo alarm I couldnt shut off but at least it went off. This was what i had on my droid razr m so thought it'd be great. Guess not! Uninstalling this clock, bummer..
It seems that the Alarm in this app is not working or not going to alarm you when the phone is locked or sleep. And it immediately alarms only when you unlock/wake the phone which is kinda stupid. This is the reason why i missed my morning class this day!!!!
Clock works fine, but I'm having the same problem as others. The alarm at most just makes a single "blip" sound. Glad I wasn't trying to get to the airport! :P
I love this app, I love the design, it's so much better than the standard Samsung clock. My only issue is that the alarm doesn't work, the alarm will beep for half a second and stop, if anyone knows how to fix this or could work on fixing it it'd make this app 100% better!
***Edit:Had to downgrade from 4 stars to 1 as alarm doesn't work!! Alarm is pretty much the only reason to install so this is a major fail. Alarms start to ring...for just a millisecond.. then nothing. If you click on the banner flag that normally says "you had an alarm blah blah" it says "Unfortunately clock has stopped"" Have tried all kinds of settings combinations and fails in all circumstance. Will re-rate if it gets fixed *** It is great to have the 'dismiss upcoming alarm' feature back thanks to this app! I would go 5 stars for sure if the app had just a few features that for me are useful and/or needed...such as: >Smart Alarm where the volume slowly ramps up a selectable amount of time before the actual alarm time, >add mp3 option, and a big one->Snooze/dismiss settings, such as solving math problems or using captchas, to avoid dismisses that I never even remember!! Dont get me wrong, this is a great app..I love the functionality ie the method to set the time and the dismiss upcoming alarm function...and no ads!...but with a few features added the app would be awesome! I'd pay for sure if there was a Pro version that had the features of many other alarm apps!!
I'd really love for what you've done porting the Kitkat clock, this app would be definitely perfect if we have some options to choose which design we want, try to add up like the Lollipop clock style and this app would hit the mark, well I'd really much appreciate this app I felt like I'm using an stock android clock app.

Works like a charm! Any chance for a 4x2 digital widget?? I reeeeally want it to fit my screen .-.
Sometimes alarm doesn't sound, and sometimes it works normally. I don't have an explanation why it failed numerous times to sound, and I missed several appointments because of that. Very annoying how unstable this is. I even tried making it a System app, but still unstable. (Kitkat 4.4.4 Note 4)
Love the app. But when I select the widget on my miui6 it only comes as a digital clock. How do I change it to analog?
Love the layout, and the app itself would get 5 stars, but as others have renewed, the alarm don't work right. Goes off once, and after is snoozed, will not go off again (status bar will indicate it's going off). Alarm is crucial to a clock app...
The default alarm clock from kit at on nexus is way better than samsung. Thanks for giving this to us.
I got a phablet with android 4.2 and the alarms don't repeat the sound, making it mostly useless. Downloaded this guy and now it works perfectly, I can use the short audio files I downloaded (i.e. rooster crowing) and it keeps playing the sound file for the set amount of time or until shut off. Thank you!!!!! That was my only aggravation with this phone and you fixed it. Only slight annoyance is that on my rooted phone I've now got two clock icons and I don't know how to get rid of the original one (if I even can) but that's minor thank you so very much for doing this for us!
I love this clock app as every time i set the alarm i don't have to change the day
Question - have you done the same with lollipop /android M clocks?
This app crashes about 5 times in a 10 minute timer. It completely fails at the job I downloaded it for and given the simplicity of an app like this I find it to be an absolute waste of my time, ironically.
Stamina mode.. Gotta create an exception for it
Author backported the vanilla Kit Kat clock for Android 4.2. I actually have Kit Kat on my tablet, but Samsung chose not to include the vanilla o'clock. Thanks!
The minimalistic interface of the app is implemented so nicely! Everything is smooth and looks great. Fix that crashing thing that happens when you are running the stopwatch and try to go into multitasking view [on Galaxy S4] and put in a feedback feature and 5 starts is yours Mr/s Developer :)
Worked without a flaw until I updated to 5.0, now it won't work when the screen is off.
Would be great, except for a few crippling bugs :( like hitting back while a timer is running causing the app to constantly crash afterward.
I installed this app on my Samsung Note 3 running the Note 4 Lollipop build as a replacement for the default Samsung clock. Works like a charm, except that there's no handle for the Alarm activity to be accessed through intents (like from Tasker or via shortcut)
I love everything about my HTC one m8 except the clock app. This app completes my experience.

My new phone went from KitKat 4.4 to a manual update of the Lollipop 5.1. The Clock app in the 5.1 is missing some major features: it just has an alarm & stop watch but no day or night clock. So I googled and found your app in a thread. It's basic but what I was looking for. Thank you
