Sir Elton Hercules John, CBE, Hon DMus has a birth name Reginald Kenneth Dwight, born in Pinner, Greater London, England, March 25, 1947. Elton is a musician, songwriter and film actor who has been in a career for more than 40 years.
In the course of his life, he once became a newspaper seller and a beverage store employee. The success he achieved to such a time is very full of struggle.
In 1962 after his master's divorce, he had to help his mother earn a living by being a piano player in a pub. And in 1964 he founded the band Bluesology, and on his musical journey in 1966 he changed his name to Elton John.
In 1976 in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, he revealed that he was a Bisexual. He later married Renate Blauel, a German record businessman and split up in 1987. Next he married a director, David Furnish in 2005.
CAREER
John has sold over 250 million albums and hundreds of millions of singles. Although In career path Elton had experienced stress, addicted to drugs and experienced poor diet.
He is famous as the singer of the song Candle In The Wind is popular in the mid 70s. The song dedicated to Norma Jean aka Marilyn Monroe was eventually changed to Candle In The Wind 1997 to be presented to the British Rose aka Princess Diana who was killed on August 31, 1997. The song was sung at the funeral ceremony of Princess Diana at Westminster Abbey on 6 September 1997.
Saturday, October 8, 2011, Elton John celebrates his 3,000th live appearance with a giant cake bearing the EJ3K. This man also marked this fantastic record with a show titled The Million Dollar Piano, at The Collosseum, Ceasars Palace, Las Vegas.
For the first time, Elton John held a concert in Indonesia. Located at Sentul International Convention Center (SICC) Bogor on November 18, 2011, the concert was part of a world tour entitled Greatest Hits Tour which began in early November from Latvia to Australia.
