Neat ® for Android
After 7 years of using the software, two scanners and now the mobile app on a daily basis, I had my first technical issue. I was concerned when I looked online and realized I did not have the subscription that allowed for phone support and then even more alarmed when I read the horror posts on the customer service. But I had no choice, so I emailed them . I got a response saying they received my email and would reply with in 72 hours. Not ideal but ok. Two hours later,I got a full technical resolution
I have been using Neat for 5 years, I only had one issue with synching, to be fair their support is slow to respond but the application has made my life organized and my desk clean especially with receipts.
Been using desktop for 10+ years (terrible interface otherwise decent) Android app doesn't clean up document scans the way Evernote or even free apps like Scanbot do. User has to manually crop image while other scanners do this automatically. Other issue: you can upload photos but there's no file explorer so forget about saving downloaded pdfs. (and really why else would you want to upload a file on your phone?) . For a subscription service, pretty bare bones, to be charitable.
Reset my password and it won't accept the new password afterwards. Tried the security questions and says it doesn't match. Say what? Now locked out. What is wrong with this company and the security settings. Now it says I'm locked out... Why?
Unable to access folders is all it says when I login. Waste of the 10 minutes I took trying.
Scanning via camera needs to have a grey scale option to reduce image size when stored and subsequently used on an expense report. Makes using the mobile app difficult when the file size of an expense report exceeds 10MB with full color images that cannot be reduced
I find it ridiculous to having to purchase your device printer scanner and having to pay to use the software for it ridiculous
This ends up being the coolest thing for my business travels. It's money back in my pocket.

No customer support unless you pay for it, East Coast hours of operation do not mesh with my West Coast hours of business which I cannot get on the phone with them during. Basically is a fantastic product that has solved all my problems and then became a useless paperweight
Billed is every year since cancelling 2 years ago. No customer service channels, they will not reply to emails. Only after complaining to BBB will they attempt resolution. Their scanners are locked behind a paywall and will be bricked without a subscription. Do yourself a favour and look at the complaints on their BBB page as well as all the customer rants on their Facebook page. BE WARNED!
I have reset my password twice Now and it still says invalid email or password. I feel that it has simply wasted my time to bother with it.

The pc software won't sync. Try calling tech support and I get a message sorry having technical issues and hangs up. I have been using the program for over 10 years and it seems to be getting worse. Now I have have to pay for a subscription service and I only find out by mistake becouse I was on there website and saw the notice. I am becoming disappointed with there tech support
I use neat on all my devices, and at home via the desktop scanner. I love NEAT, and HAVE ZERO problems. I do suggest that new users take time using the parent appplicatino (I prefer the browser, using my desktop NEAT scanner), and organize the folders you will use across all devices. I have a folder for Home Repairs, Personal Bills, Business Expenses, Business Bills, Personal Health, Pets, Vehicle Expenses, Travel, Groceries, and more, but these are my 'top level' folders, some having subfolders (Pets i.g. has each animal by name). If you spend time setting up the app, then it is so easy to use the app across all devices, and send your docs straight to the respective folder for easy filing and retreval. I love NEAT. The scanner cleans and crops all your receipts, too. I highly recommend Neat, as a VERY SMART, User friendly receipt Management tool!
Wanted this program for 7 years before I finally purchased it. Finally made the lunge. Was super happy but when the desktop updated, no one bothered to update the mobile version so I HAVE NO DOCUMENTS ANYMORE ON MY PHONE. As a person who travels for a living this is terrible. No one to contact for customer service. No return emails. Very unhappy and will be telling EVERYONE I KNOW!!!!!!
the customer service absolutely SUCKS!! i had to call four times just to get the computer to understand the spelling of my last name. it's only four letters long, there's no reason for the computer to not understand it. then i'm told that i can't speak to a live operator. there are only so many things that a computer can tell you in regards to tech support before you actually need to speak to an actual person. after all the money i spent on your device i would expect that i would be able to speak to someone when something is going wrong. get someone on the phone to speak to, even if just to confirm the spelling of one's name and the email they have. this is NOT good service support!!
I LOVE this concept and definitely want it to work. Problem is the software will not allow me to log on. Even worse is there is no human being to talk to when the problem is beyond chat and help screens. Very poor service level. Amazing that this is a cloud based company with no one to help. Please fix the software, I want to use my scanner.
Just installed....cant create account...tells me to sign in with my HP connect acct...doesnt work...i gave it a good 1/2 hour try...
This is a great app. If ALL fields scanned in Neat were copied to my contacts it will be great. I use Samsung Note 5. It only copies 1 phone, 1 email, and no address. If the performance was improved, from 4 minutes per card, to 2 minutes, it will be perfect. Please fix !!!! This app is great: I scan in Neat app, then copies to my phone contacts, and outlook with one click.
I have been getting "Unknown error" for almost a month. Support keeps answering about the cloud latency issue. That is not my problem. I pay for a lot for the cloud subscription which is useless to me without the mobile app.
Make it available free for domestic use in india
Neat scanner is under investigation by the SEC, they appear more and more to be like a scam. You will not be able to cancel your subscription and technical support is no longer available.
(01.29.16) Been using the desktop app for a couple of years. Mostly works but if it does crash it can be VERY hard to find a solution. Mobile app rarely works. It usually just gives an unknown error trying to login. (06.12.14)Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). Doesn't work. Just force closes every time you try to open it.
Pretty irritating that I can't use this to scan receipts on the go, every time I try, it logs me out and after about 3 times I get an error message so I need to scan them all when I get home. Seems pointless to have a mobile app if it isn't going to work.
Can't log in. I have a monthly subscription but I can't access.
Been a Neat desktop, Web and mobile user for years. The Desktop app has improved dramatically over the years, but not the Web or Mobile. How can there not be a sort by date?? But instead a sort by create date?? Who ever users create date? I have to tag things with keywords if I think I need to find it when I am out and about. Couldn't find a receipt tonight to tell someone that was paying me back for something I bought them b/c I needed to search manually for the time I bought it this month.
Problems from out of the blue. Anyone would hesitate to uninstall an app like this after an accumulation of data but that's what it took to fix it. 05/09/16. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,So where's the update?-15-16 Never have I seen a company care less about a product that is a constant stream of revenue. An accounting company that can't figure out business. Why is there an auto crop and i loose the sides of my receipt at 10 feet from the doc? And I can't adjust it. FAIL!
It doesn't work half the time it takes me out of the program don't think it's as good as I was told disappointed at this time unless they fix the problem
It meets and beats all of expectations
Scan items with my phone and nothing happens. I keep getting a processing message and nothing ever processes. Sometimes receipts are stuck in processing mode and duplicated multiple times after an image has been taken. Nothing syncs properly and it's not worth the trouble. Would rather put up with smart receipts.
Get an unknown error message every time I try to log in. Waste of time and money

Great for business on the go as you go. Note 5 camera issues. BUT apparently external scanner app works with share then NEAT then the NEAT app takes over. So anyone having scanning problems USE TURBO SCAN app. (Haven't verified after up load. But NEAT pushed notice invoice uploaded) hope that helps because TURBO scan make NEAT thr app it should be for users with unknown camera scanning issues.
