permanent tsb for Android
A missing feature that cannot be done via app or website as it always reverts to mobile setting is, I want to add and update travel notices on my cards and I am unable to do so, I have no access to a Pc. This feature needs to be added
Can no longer close the app with back button. Have to use clear recent apps tab to close it or use force close.
Since i got the s7 phone this app keeps freezing my phone. Thought it was soft ware had my phone looked at and it fine please fix. Its fantastic when its working.
Doesn't tell you when quarterly fees are due like all other banking apps do. Not satisfied.
Can't close app with back button since the last update. Instead i have to minimise it with the home button then use a task killer app to kill it.
Needs a smoother login process. Would be great if fingerprint technology was utilised.
Come on guys in QA...the app hangs when you log out galaxy S6 running Android 7.0
Fingerprint is a must in 2018. Current login is a torture.
You should be able to transfer money on the app to international places
You sould add the option to transfer momey from your app without needing a PC to set it uo first, for example same as the AIB app is. Aswell login is a bit of a pain...you should type in your password once and then when you log in just type in you PAC and so on,you should make a survey of what people want/expect from this app and adapt accordingly...obviously security comes first but i am sure there are good dew things you guys can do...things that we,the users want!
Can't use back key to exit the app anymore.
Good app. But you could order a bank statement through the post on the old app.
App is constantly not working for me
No Google Pay
Love this app never lets me down
Not working
Would be great to add fingerprint to it
Definitely the worst banking app I have ever used. I cant understand why anyone would give this a positive rating. Clunky login process every time you want to use the app. Very limited functionality also.
I believe you are wrong for PSD2 note: TPP conditions 23 item 3. Banks need to provide then customer with a means to remove all consents given to a TPP. It is not the responsibility of the customer to contact TPP's directly. If this app is to be PSD2 compliant, I should see a list of preciously given consents and have the ability to revoke at will. This should trigger removal of consents within your api layer (or wherever u are storing those consent files). The next time the TPP accesses your API a new consent will be required triggering your SCA process. I would suggest doing another sweep of the RTS and confirm you have not interpreted anything incorrectly, as I do believe quarterly compliance reporting to the regulator is required and I'm sure they come with nice fine if found to be in breach.
Really useless app, it could be so useful with just a few added options such as ability to transfer money to contacts in your phone, ability to set up and manage transfers, easier contact from helpdesk
It needs to have a basic display of in and out comes so its easier to see your account and account overview shouldnt just be a balance of whats available and whats pending to leave. If it had that it would be perfect for me
Very laborious login process. Even to logout; should come to home screen. Many banks offer quick view and or finger print login.
Could be easier to use. E.g. fingerprint login and a quick balance feature that shows your account balances without logging in. These are available in competitor apps.
No Android Pay, very limited use and can't use fingerprint to unlock either.
Should be able to authorize transfers instead of sending sms every time you need to do a transfer.
Money on the move
Good
When will PTSB sign up to Android pay? Far better design since the new update. Still with that said no mobile money function. The app would be handier if you could do a quick balance check without having to log in. AIB phone app has this function and it's a handy time saver. All in all a massive improvement on the previous version, just not quite there yet.
Getting there. After growing frustrated with the previous app, which went so long without an update, the new version is an improvement. However, it could be the best app in the Irish market with the following: -real time notifications for transactions (check out N26 app) -ability to check log in with fingerprint scanner -ability to easily check balance -ability to notify PTSB of travel plans so you don't need to call every time you travel somewhere not in the EU Also, when the user logs in, they should surely be brought to the account home overview page rather than having an extra step to check with account balance. It's coming together, please keep up the good work and stay innovating!
Awful, can't log in. Edit; latest update allows me to log in. General use is OK, a bit sluggish, but I don't see why half the screen has to be taken up with the blue area to tell me I'm logged in; I am aware of what I'm doing with my phone/this app, I don't require half a screen to remind me. Could be better utilised I'm sure.
It is certainly better than the previous app. If you don't log out properly then as soon as you log in the next time you are immediately logged out which can be annoying. Sometimes pending transactions will say 250 euro for example but when they clear 300 will have come out so it's not always reliable and this is the biggest issue I have with it.
Someone mistaken secure for pain in the butt. Its also far from being fast on mobile connection. Randomly deletes the open24 number so no way of using it without the card/number stored elsewhere. Give us custom login name/ email.
I'm still getting an issue were I am Logged out every time I log in. It has been mentioned that this has been fixed? Would be great to be able to see your balance at the click of a button similar to the AIB app. Please fix
Poor. "Download not successful ", "Can't take screenshot due to security policy". Absolutely infuriating that the downloads fail and that it prevents screenshots. I can screengrab on a PC, why won't you give us an option to screenshot in the app? App needs to be much more user friendly.
Everytime I login, I've to login twice because there is an "error" and It never remembers you. Id prefer to use the Internet so I'm deleting it. No this is not fixed, it's still happening and im deleting it!! AGAIN!!
App is still requiring me to log in and log in again a second time. I get kicked out straight away. Very annoying. Even worse is the fact that we have been waiting 3+ months for this bug to be fixed!
Horrendous app, very amateur offering from a bank, keeps logging out and must repeatedly input login details. No quick balance option either. Sort it out or will use other banks
19/01/2017 - Get logged out as soon as I log in and click on my account. Needs to be fixed to go back to 5 stars. Congrats on the new app. You have my 5 stars. It was one of the most annoying parts of moving to PTSB from Ulster Bank. You had a far better account on offer but the app was such a turn off. Now you're better all round. For once a bank has listened to feedback. Implementing a save feature for your open24 number so you're not fumbling around in your wallet on the street to check your balance. Currency converter at the touch of a button. Iban and bic on display. Really well done.
Hi. It's annoying that if i typed one of passwords wrong that I have to write again the 10 digits to login. Also, i think will be much easier if I can register my phone for my account and than just to type different digits from that 6 to login, not both of passwords everytime when I wish to login. And last thing, the balance, easy enough if we can just to press with a finger a button to show the balance without login. Thanks.

Since the passage to 2.01 version we can no longer close the app completely. This is very annoying user experience. This would be very good to be looking at before next release to be sure this is fixed. It happens on every mobile android devices (all samsung model from s4 to s9 as an exemple but pretty much every android mobile devices). Mobile dev team for the permanent tsb app. Counting on you to get it fixed ;-)
