Nearbuk services provides single platform for both service providers and service seekers to interact quickly, efficiently and effectively. Service seekers can find quality service providers who are available immediately, so that they can save time and skip long waiting time.

Nearbuk services provides platform for new and veteran entrepreneurs to reach huge customer base located nearby. New entrepreneurs can use their skills and strength and generate good substitute income stream.

Current challenges:

1. Getting Fast and Reliable Service: - In the age of google, there is lot of information. But to search through all the clutter to reach something relevant for us is a challenge. Likewise, there are hundreds of websites which provide information/services based on your need. But to get reliable, quick service near your current location is important.

- There may be many plumbers in city, but if they are not available now when my kitchen is flooding with water, they are of no use for me. I need quick, reliable good plumber right now. Can’t call 20 people whom I found on google, and see if they can come right now. Is there are a way I can find plumber right away and know that he is available now and can come and fix the sink in minutes.

2. Opportunity for secondary income: - Who don’t need extra income. Any person, if asked about his interest about having secondary income, will say ‘YES, I’m in for it’. But most of the people don’t know what to do. They may have skills that can benefit others, they may have products/tools that can benefit others. But don’t know how to make income out of that.

- Let’s say I’ve a lawn mower, sitting idle in my garage 5 days a week, because I don’t mow every day. I’m free 5 days in the evening. I don’t want to go through all the hassle of starting a business and going through all the headache. Is there a way I can work part time, whenever I want and generate income?

- At the same time, person at end of the road, broke his lawn mower, his grass has grown too much, don’t want to hire professional landscaper, as they ask for contract and charge too much. Is there a way I can barrow someone’s lawn more for a day, I can even pay for that?

The Objective:

• Scenario #1: You are on road, away from your place. Car broke down. Don’t know how to fix. You call your insurance, or try to google for mechanic nearby. Hard to find mechanic and don’t know how far he is or if he is available to come immediately. Insurance may not fix your car; they will tow you to nearby mechanic if you pay for towing.

• Scenario #2: Student, need money. Don’t know what to do. He is good in math, but don’t know whom to teach. Other hand kid is weak in math, need some assistance. Parents are busy/ not good in math. They both are just 1 block away, but don’t know one can fulfill others need and both can benefit. Regular math teacher is expensive, and as this student not a teacher, can’t market himself as a teacher. NearBuk can help both to connect.

• Scenario #3: Old lady at home. She need urgent grocery/medicine. No one around to ask for help. Her kids are away. She can’t drive to grocery/medicine shop.

Student/young man, in his free time want to do some work and earn income. Don’t know what to do.

NearBuk offer the young man to publish his service as assistant shopper. He can offer to shop for needy people for nominal fee. Old lady can ask his service over NearBuk. They both can chat/talk. He can offer to shop for her and deliver the grocery to her home. Old lady will pay the guy nominal fee for the help. Both happy.
