What are users saying about NDrive USA

Doesn't specify you have to buy the maps separate. 1 star!

J70%
by J####:

Compared to Garmin Mobile on WinMo, NDrive is missing many essentials: pedestrian mode; north up; off-road; tracks (breadcrumbs); altitude; etc.

I installed it but then I could get it to find the USA map. Shame, I need a navigation program.

I shut off my cell phone service and now get an invalid ID error. Tech support claims and it is due to my version of android but it was working for months before. Disappointed as was hoping to use old phone as offline navigator.

I got this app because it was supposed to be available offline. Seems ok until I actually tried it on the road without a data plan (I am using pay as you go). Tried to drive from Quincy, IL to St. Louis, MO and the app could not resolve the address. Complained that it needed data connection. Had to pull into a McDonald's for WIFI. Then it will work again. Horrible! I wish there was a way to get my money back. I have other issues with the unit also: 1) Terrible contact integration (there is no way to get to your contact when you are within Ndrive). 2) Terrible use of screen (I have a 4.7" screen and the speed/arrival indicators are so small that I couldn't read it while driving). 3) No speed limit indication until you are actually exceeding it. 4) POI are old (it directed me to a non existing AT&T store). Save your money and get Copilot Premium for USA/Canada. It is only $8 and works better than this junky app. I can't believe all the positive reviews for this app. How did it pass quality inspection?

Installed it during a trip to Puerto Rico and downloaded the needed map there. Worked well through tout our trips on the island. The map is tiny and that's why it worked. This app offers no way to choose to store your maps on the external storage card. Where am I going to find 3gb for the us maps in main storage now. Odd.

sure wish i knew it used tomTom maps before i bought it and took (longer than the 15 minute refund window) to download. Tom Tom maps are normally bad, but maybe they'll get better with the influx of Apple $$. Wish there was a way to move the maps to my EXTERNAL SD card, as i have one internal and one external. WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR TRAFFIC SERVICES, when it's free from everyone else, that's BS. No TTS??? (Portuguese only!! WTF) . . . I want my money back.

I have used this programme in the UK, Europe andThe States and found it to be excellent. Used on both an HTC Hero and Samsung Galaxy S2

Since getting an Android phone, I have been wanting a good GPS navigation application, that had accurate maps, fast navigation, and worked well. I started out with CoPilot USA, and after using for a month or so got fed up with old maps and app freezing up. Ndrive 11 is fast intuitive and the maps are pretty darn accurate. The only problems I have is that the face book integrations can crash the app, and even though it says traffic is supported it isn't in my large North Carolina city.

I had NDrive 10 activated on my phone using the free Australian map, however because I am going to visit the USA later this year, I just downloaded NDrive 11 USA for A$34 and in spite what one of the reviewers said, the USA maps came with it. Mind you it took nearly 4 hours to download using my wireless connection at home and I had to buy a 8GB micro SD just to make sure I had enough room. I was pleasantly surprised to note that I was still able to use the Australian map with the new version of NDrive. I just have to select which map I want to use by going to Menu/My NDrive/About/My Maps. I have yet to actually use the GPS but so far, so good. This is a much cheaper option than renting an in-car GPS or buying a new one.

Great so far. Much smoother and more intuitive than CoPilot. Latest update greatly improved usefulness.

I asked if v 11had text to speech spoken street names. I was told yes with an additional tts voice download. I spent money on program, money on USA maps, but where is tts voice? Its not on programs store. I emailed but no response yet. Also I paid for traffic but it appears traffic doesn't work . Of course it took more then 15 minutes to test so I can't get a refund. I sure hope ndrive support helps me out.

I bought this for a trip to Orlando, FL. The first problem is that it couldn't find routes from my hotel, so I had to drive a bit, stop the car and search for a route. One day the license was invalid, so I had to go back to the hotel, use its wi-fi to validate the license, and then drive away to get a route. Worse: sometimes I am driving on road "A", and the GPS tells me to turn right on a small street. I comply. U-turn ahead. Ok. Turn right AND I'M BACK ON ROAD "A". And I get no answer from user support.

Passed home - work - home test, which is more than I can say for CoPilot. Needs lots of time and space for wifi market download. Expensive. ~Vibrant

No GPS! Other apps no problem. Droid3. Worked fine on my Droid(1). I assume a fix will be coming soon.

nothing better for android, tried them all. tomtom would be better because of iqrouting, but still doesn't exist for android. traffic works but $$$!

Maps are detailed and acurate. But searching it's database is tricky. You have to be precise about spelling and results can be confusing.

Has been over 3 months and no update for this software, still no TTS, main site state that it does but is not, fix this to be one of the best GPS navigation system.

Ndrive 11 USA has been buggy and missing promised features for several months. For the past 3 days it no longer works at all and closes immediately after the screen comes up. Reinstalling did not help. I wrote to Ndrive support four times and they did not reply. I am now seeking a full refund.

Force Closes as soon as it is launched on the Archos 5 Internet Tablet... hoped they'd be concerned with keeping compatibility with it coming from V9

No text to speech available with ndrive for android. Otherwise a very good ap. I just need text to speech.

A bit of trouble getting it working, but otherwise works as advertised.

It will not hold a gps signal. Not worth the waste of time. No updates, no customer support, no more sales!! Stay away from them.
