About LAIT
LAIT is an application that displays graphics and text and plays audio on cue from a wifi connected server in a controlled theatrical environment. The app itself contains no content, but rather is a container for content that is downloaded into the app when a user chooses to attend a LAIT-enabled live performance. The LAIT app has two main components: a menu that lets users choose which LAIT-enabled event they are attending (because there may be more than one of them active at any one time), and an engine for displaying or sounding the event's content on cue.
The entire LAIT system consists of 1) a Directory Server to which the app connects, in order to direct the app to the correct live event, 2) a Content Server which contains the event's content for download, 3) the Event server that cues the content at the correct time during the event, 4) the LAIT app that displays the content.
