Nielsen Homescan

Works really good. One thing however is annoying. It doesn't save scans until you submit them. I usually scan why I am shopping and I had it now twice that my phone restarted and all my scans were gone. It would also be nice if it showed a sum of all the scans. Makes it easier to see if you really scanned everything. It also would be nice to get a report of my scan as well.

It keep telling me no internet connection?!? My phone is connected to internet. I lost all scan info cuz it didn't transmission info. I don't want to do it all over again. 1) fix the bug that assumed theres no internet 2) find a way to save scan items, just incase it didn't submit.

Exceeded my expectations when switching between scanner and Mobile app. Much easier to use, and fix mistakes when you enter the wrong price! Reward prizes are worth the wait to save points for as well!

The scanner is a hit or miss. Sometimes it will scan everything on my counter but the item I'm trying to scan. I find that it times out quite quickly when I'm scanning a trip. It doesn't give me enough time to scan and put the groceries away like the handheld scanner did. It also doesn't save if I have to stop half way through my scanning. The old scanner would allow me to stop and come back to it afterwards. Now that it is on my phone, sometimes I have to answer a call or text when I'm scanning.

Still the biggest junk app there is,and they are to lazy to do anything about it

Very nice, 3 hiccups, 1- when paying by ATM card it asks what type and gives credit cards as a choice, 2 scanner times out when preparing next item, 3- when asked for review rating it goes to the US app and states not available in your country,

Awesome really easy to use.. just not sure how to use catalog as its not appearing with anythig other then coming soon

A tone of stores on my list and the list ends at london drugs. Please fix this

It wants to scan the bar code too fast before I can get the next item ready. Sometimes freezes and then shuts down completely and if its a big order I have to restart the whole dang thing over. I was getting terribly frustrated. I hope this upgrade fixes it. Or else I'm going to request old scanner back.

Mixed bag, here. Overall, I like it better than the old scanner. But. The barcode reader is too fast. I have to cover all the barcodes on the fruit/veg folder or it'll just grab the first one it recognizes. And it times out too quickly. Since I now have to enter prices for everything from everywhere, it takes more than 2 seconds to find the price on my receipt. It times out and I HATE feeling pressured. Fix these issues and you'll get 5 stars.

Could really use more to choose from when there is no bar code. Also it won't allow you to back out of the app but other than that it works good.

I still wait until I'm home to scan my items but I love the mobile app. It is amazing. Thanks for including me in the mobile app program.

Can we make it so we do not use the card for non barcoded items? Add a button on the scanner camera screen for non barcoded items.

Why? It is way easier to submit purchases than the scanner and then connecting to computer which can be a hassle. Hopefully they cab add the consumption diary as a feature in it also

Times out to quick takes 2x as long to scan groceries. Only perk is scanning when out

I can't comment on the functionality of the app because I couldn't use it. However, for those who are just downloading or about to this is an invite only app. Just because you are on the scanner panel does not mean you have access to using the app. You have to be invited to use this app by Nielsen. I am writing this to save you the time and frustration to figure it out. The description of the app says authorize use only but I took that as just being on the panel.

I really liked it. It's so easy to scan now. No need to find ur scanner, worrying about charging etc. This is so convenient to scan.

I hate that I always have to enter prices. Using the old scanner, I didn't have to, and I'm using the same stores. When I mentioned it to Nielsen, they said that it was up to the store; which I understand. However, it shouldn't be different between the different tools. Once a store has agreed on allowing prices automatically, that should be it.

I really like this App! It could use a few tweaks, but over all, I'm so glad to be using it. I'm sure my scan history will be all the proof needed ;)

It takes a little getting used to using. However once learned it is a breeze. I actually look forward to scanning everything I buy now. Such a pleasure not to have to unpack groceries and then scan when some of it can actually be done in the stores themselves. I would never go back to the hand held device. Congratulations Nielsen.
