App usually works ok. Except for the fact it doesn't let you comment from a mobile device... ever. Now it says I need to have an Internet connection to connect the first time. Well... I've connected hundreds of times, no trouble until now. And yes, I have a strong Wifi connection. You would think a big company like NBC would have a competent app...

Love the app. 5 stars when I can read the content. Lately, when I go to launch the app, it tells me that an internet connection is required before launching the app for the first time. This confuses me because for one, I use the app all the time, so it's definitely not the first time used (yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and no, I'm not only noticing this after its first use following the reinstall). Secondly, I definitely have that required internet connection. WIFI. Use it all the time. ?

Whomever is in charge of this app for NBC should be fired and embarrassed. Its a constant string of issues that either don't get fixed at all or get fixed and cause another issue. Recently we haven't even been able to open the app multiple days because it says it must have an internet connection...which it does have

Used to be my favorite sports app. Terrible app. Cant open. Keeps saying I need internet connection to open first time. I have it hard wired into Internet and still wont open. Tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it 20 times this past week. App must be full of virus! Doesnt NBC and app developers see the comments are all saying they have the same problem? Dont they see that they are losing hits on their app or are they that stupid? Wait they havent fixed it in over a week...they are that stupid!!!!!

I thought that this app was getting updated the way Florio was talking on PFT live yesterday 8/3/17. But he was talking about the mobile website for PFT. IDK, still can not comment through this app. If you are only into Property Football Talk the app is pointless just visit the mobile site. I also think PFT, should have its own app that mirrors the mobile site. I mean I thought the point of the app was so you didn't need to go to the mobile site.

In light of being 4/20 today, I thought I'd write a review about an app developed by people who are seemingly enjoying copious amounts of the devil's lettuce. 3 years of using it and this app is STILL garbage. It's become a really bad joke. Developers need to be replaced.

Only use it for football articles. Most articles are decent but head writer Mike Florio is the epitome of a preachy, self important journalist who can't seperate personal opinions from the news. Would filter out his articles if the app had that function. They really need to show who wrote something before you click the article. I'm so sick of Florio I may Uninstall. But the rest of the writers do decent work.

Crappy app. When it works, it's 3 stars. I also get the random Internet connection needed dialog. I'm in an Apple facility with what may be the best WiFi connection I've ever had. It's clearly a problem with the app. In about an hour, I'm going to get sick of trying and get rid of it. I may try it again next year or something. ** updated** 1 day later it still doesn't work. But I found a solution. I uninstalled the app. Now I won't keep trying to make it work. It's really not a big deal.

Pros: Fingertip access to the latest sports news, opinions and rumors. Cons: After almost three years of use, the app now refuses to load, saying it needs an Internet connection when both WiFi and the 4G LTE networks are available and connected to the Internet. Update: it worked again for a brief time, but now it's back to declaring I don't have a Internet connection when clearly I do. I subtract a star for inconsistent functionality.

Used this app since it was released and all of a sudden it's been saying the same first time internet connection error that everyone is complaining about. No excuse for how long this has been going on. Fix this and back to 5 stars.

It is a great app and the best one you'll find for football.... When it works. I have had this app for at least three years now and while the information and writers are incredible, the app is horrific. It has never let you comment from the phone and as of right now is having a connection issue on android devices which forces me to go to their website and defeats the purpose of an app. They really need to fix this issue asap because the app is unusable.

This is a good app with great articles that are updated frequently. Between this app and the Score Mobile app those are the only apps you need regarding current sports scores and articles. The only knock I have on this app is that it is impossible for me to post comments on stories at the bottom. The app has never allowed me to post from my phone in over 3 years. I have a Samsung Galaxy 7 and it still will not work. If I go to the website I can post at the bottom of each article all day long but never from my phone.

I've been using this app for years, then all of a sudden it stopped working. Now my app won't even start up. It says I need an internet connection, but I clearly do have one. All my other apps work, but this one refuses to load. Also, when it did work, I couldnt even change the order of the separate sports feeds to my liking on the main menu or leave a comment from a mobile device. This app needs to be completely scrapped and the devs should start over from scratch.

Every week it says "need internet connection first time running this app" nothing you can do about it. I am connected to my Wi-Fi and have plenty of data too. Have to uninstall and re download and that is not guaranteed to work..

This app has so many bugs, yet the developers refuse to fix it. It blows my mind that a huge company like universal can't even maintain a simple news app. Now It can't even see that I've got a great wifi connection, and can't find the internet. Save yourself the effort and don't bother with this garbage. Used to be my fav sports app. I'm done with it!

NFL scoreboard disappeared like David Blaine is running this app. Fix it. Says need Internet connection wjen connected to wifi two different times for multiple days. You guys should stop bashing espn you are getting just as bad

This is garbage. Terrible. Update: Oh, fantastic. They added even more intrusive ads. Crashes every time it's opened, too. Update 2: still awful. Update 3 (6 months later): still garbage. No one bothers to read feedback or respond to bug reports. Update 5/2017: Still awful.

When something works well, you should probably leave it alone. This used to be a great app, but now I can't even open it because it's says I need an Internet connection. So I just take my nonexistent connection and open Bleacher Report instead.

Started yesterday....it's saying I need to be connected to the internet.....I F-ing am connected! What's the deal? The app is the only reason I use this site, their regular desktop version is terrible! 1 star until this gets fixed.........................started working again but has since stopped. Still need this special internet. Stupid

App wont open, says I need internet connection. Uninstalling and reinstalled didnt help. Doesnt work on wifi or data. Just quit working yesterday. Works for a few days then quits. Been using for years with no issues. What happened?

Lately I have been having issues opening up the app. It says I need a network connection but I am full bars with WiFi. This has happened 3 times within the last week and it lasts for a day and a half before it comes back. Is there any reason why this is happening? I've already uninstalled and re-installed the app. Kind of getting pissed off about it. Going to delete it for good...

This app is good when it works but hasn't worked for several days. It keeps saying no network connection (see other reviews on here). I wish the folks would read these reviews and fix the app quickly but so far haven't.

For the most part this app is good except when they want to express political opinions. I don't need a sports app for that. Now says I have no internet connection even though I do. Don't have time for non-working apps.

This app keeps telling me I am not connected to the internet. I have used this app on my phone (galaxy s5) for over 2 years without a problem. The past two weeks it won't work, even after I uninstall and reinstall!!!!

Every time I tried to use it the pop up states you need an internet connection! I have an internet connection! All other apps load fine! Uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. No luck! Terrible waste of time!

For the last couple of weeks there has been a "computer connection" error, therefore the app haas not been working. The flustration comes from the issue lasting so long. When the app works, it's great!

I got this app expecting good stories and lately the articles are becoming more and more about someone's opinion. I can't even play the videos you post on the articles cause they don't fit the screen. Yes, the sound plays, but you can't see anything!

Update 10/23/16... now the app says I'm not connected to the internet... c'mon NBC, you can hold on to video of Trump for 11 years but you can maintain your own products? I can't tell you how many times this app has disappointed me. Forces closed, won't react to actions, and overall renders itself useless. I have 78 apps on my phone and 77 of them perform at least in an average capacity.

The content is generally good. Mike Florio can't keep his bias in check. Not just from football, he constantly brings up politics. I go to the app for sports and football news, not political commentary. Get rid of the politics and its a 5 star app.

after using for months it now says you must have an internet connection when you use it for the first time. its not the first time and the connection is powerful. uninstalling does not help nor does turning wifi off/on

This app is similar to tmz. If you want real sports analysis, use bleacher report or another reputable company. On top of tmzish reporting, app is very outdated and unstable.

**I recently wasted my time doing a survey for this crap app thinking they might finally fix issues that have been noted for YEARS. I was wrong, they don't care, they still suck.** Video links NEVER work. App users haven't had the ability to comment on a post for over 2 years and these A$$ clowns still haven't fixed it! These developers are clueless, useless and hapless. Embarrassing that an entity as large as NBC can't fix this garbage app that people have been complaining about for over 2 years!! Fix these issues for crying out loud!! Do something....

Good app when working. It used to occasionally have an error message stating that you need Internet connection to use app. For the last few days, it has that error message permanently, even after multiple deletions and re-downloads. I obviously have Internet, using it to write this review aren't I?

I really like this app except. While the articles are great I really hate how you can't customize the scoreboard. Currently only MLB shows up there. What happened to hockey, basketball, soccer among others? It's really dumb because if I need to check a score I'm opening someone else's app.

Mike Florio and company provide the most intelligent sports news and analysis I've ever seen...read... whatever. Their articles clearly reflect the personality of each writer but also the company as a whole. They are brimming with a brilliant mix of humor, skepticism, and that special type of enthusiasm sets true sports fans apart from the rest. This is not just a job for them but the passionate pursuit of a dream. This app is a must have for the well informed sports fan.

As others have mentioned their are way too many bugs. Repeats articles, gets stuck, sends you back several articles. Can't believe NBC allows their name on this app.
