Nav Launcher (beta)

All of my other androids had this. My current android somehow deleted it. I had to revert to Mapquests free install...it's atrocious. So confusing, glad I found the Google nav again. For free, it's some of the best around.

The old Google navigation was awesome! Showed satellite view of real time travel the whole way. This one does not. It shows a map only. It wont give verbal step by step direction as old version. I hate it!

After Google remove the blue arrow for navigator and didn't tell anyone... this is a needed application to simplify Google Maps 7.0. helps with quick destinations so you don't have to fumble around to all these unnecessary windows to get where you needed to be before the upgrade

You took away the ability to avoid tolls. Why? Why would you do such a thing.

I hate this one. I want the old one back. I am trying to find a new one because this one sucks.

Loved the version that came with my phone. But it up and vanished like a fart in the wind forcing me to download this turd of a navigated.

Great idea. I love the simplicity. It's very similar to the old Google maps that I miss so much. Thank you for creating this. There are still a few bugs but it looks great so far!

I don't think anyone will have what the google navigation beta had. It was accurate, it had satellite, and showed traffic along your whole route, so you knew what you were encountering for the whole ride. And showed shortest distances. I can't find anything like that to dload. Not even this, with its name so closely related.

Trying to figure out what happened to navigation. And. It turns out that Google has removed it. So I downloaded this piece of sh and it is useless. Android users are the back bone of Google's success. We depend on certain apps. But now Google is turning into microsoft. This is the last straw for me. . . You suck google. . .

Maps 7 changes rerouting. You must now pick a route before starting navigation. You can't change routes while in navigation anymore. It would be nice for this app to let us chose to be dropped in at the route selection page, rather than just starting nav with the "fastest" route. Great app otherwise.

This app used to be the best app on my phone. Over time the app started to shut down from time to time. Now shuts down every few hours at the worst possible time. I have all my favorites saved on it, so its pains me that I have to start over. DONT USE !

Exactly what I was looking for! I have to navigate to places that are not "contacts". Nav Launcher allows me to keep them in a "favorites" list for easy access. Not sure why this functionality isn't native to Google Navigation, but thanks for the app!

User Unfriendly... Limited Settings... Almost unable to edit addresses... Totally useless app. . Come on Google ... You can do better... why did you mess up the old NAV app ... it was perfect !

This app is great. It tells me turn by turn directions, when to get ready to turn everything. Best of all it talks to me so that way I can keep my eye's on the road and hands on the steering wheel.

Uninstalling. For someone that travels 99 percent of the time, not user friendly and to many nonessentials for our use. Old version was so much better, used it everyday.

Terrible 'update.' Can't even figure out how to turn it off (usually no option available to 'quit navigation.'

Originally my phone came with a navigator. It disappeared and metropcs told me this is the one I need to download. Well it sent me 5 miles off course. It also tells me I need to go all the way around my block just to get to the end of my street where I need to turn at which is where I pretty much started. Hate this app. It's not the original. Our days beta.

Why don't you guys just leave well enough alone. You think you are making it better but all your doing is destroying something that didn't need any changes.

Loved the old app and this one! But seriously there are a lot or glitches in the maps. My maps are constantly glitching up and freezing

Took me to wrong address. Again (and again was not minding the app closely during trip which is necessary, this is not a set and forget app it will betray you midtrip). WILL CHANGE DESTINATION WITHOUT WARNING.

What's with all the crashing and freezing? It's caused me to miss many of exits and almost caused a few accidents. This is getting tiresome! You really need to step up your game!

Couldn't be better. I don't understand all the people that complain about directions. This app is a launcher for google maps navigation. I'm at a loss as to why some people can't understand that. It's simply a quicker way to get back the functionally of getting into the navigation part of google maps. Google had this but it now takes several screens to get to navigation. If your getting lost because of bad directions, blame google not this app. Scott did a great job in giving us a nice interface to get back what google took away.

For the most part I like this app, it just keeps crashing every time I try to add a picture to my quick favorites. Fix please!!

I would give 5 stars but it's harder to use than it used to be. It does work good for me though.

Fumbly app not good while driving...what happened to the old version? Using Waze instead :/

Was a great app and now no matter what I search with the location turned on it searches 600 miles away.

This used to be my "go-to" app for travel. Now, it barely works. Very disappointing. Please fix...

Took me to wrong address. Again. Soooooo bad. Multiple wrong addresses and WILL CHANGE DESTINATION WITHOUT WARNING.

This update isn't the greatest. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the older version. In fact, my iPhone friends were jealous of how great the Android google maps works versus their navigation app...

I thought I wash crazy after looking in my apps for this then checked Google playstore and it wasn't even installed!? So since I updated it yesterday it uninstalled? Gonna try this again but really even before the update I would say it worked about 60% of the time.... NOT GOOD!

Thanks for replacing the old nav launcher. But please give us the option to open directly to the navigation screen rather than the personal information stuff.

I have used this app on two occasions so far to go to destinations that I had yet to venture to. As being from Georgia and living in the country I did not feel like hearing banjos playing, this app has worked

I like the ease of selecting contacts to insert as a destination and the history. Frequently, I am provided with addresses for sales calls through Outlook Web Application to my smart phone. Normally, I click on the address and it launches Google Maps on and then I go through the process of selecting routes, etc. What would be nice, is to have this app detect the addresses I go to through OWA and store that as history...that will get you the extra star! Thanks.

Had original version on motorola phone new version on note 3 GPS loses signal all the time. Need to find a way to stop dropping a signal otherwise I'm going to get rid of it.

You change it so the arrow points in the direction you're driving?????? Without the ability to change it back to the arrow always pointing up. I hate the voice guidance. I mean how hard would it have been just to have the letter of the direction your going either at the top of the map or in the arrow itself?

The old version just dissapeared from my screen! This one does the job, but it doesn't have the avoid toll roads option. I go to Austin quite often and they are everywhere. Please make this option available!
