- The app navigates you from your preferred point of departure to your destination.

This app literally saved me in Japan. It is really helpful and easy to use. I was using only JR trains because I had Japan Rail pass, and I was glad that this app can find directions using only JR lines. This was one of the best route search apps I used while in Tokyo. I used this app and cross checked with Google maps. Sometimes there would be discrepancies and Google maps would often come up with some shorter duration options that didn't appear in this Japan Travel app. Overall though, it was a nice app to use and provided great information through an easy to use and informative interface.

This app helped me a lot on my recent trip to Japan. I got the Japan Rail Pass which allows me to ride most JR trains for free. This app specifically tells you which routes are covered by the pass and which are not. They also tell you the exact cost of the trip, the time it takes, and the platform you need to get on. I was told to get Hyperdia for my trip but I was using this app 99% of the time because it was so easy to navigate. Would recommend over the Hyperdia app.

Definitely a great app to help you get around Japan. I've used it for a week now and have not got on the wrong train yet. Very easy to understand and would highly recommend it to people using the trains in Japan. Great too as you can choose to have JR trains as a priority if using the pass.
