Garmin brings its award winning experience from personal navigation devices to transform your SONY Xperia device into a fully functioning mobile navigation system.
Xperia Edition is an on-board solution, meaning no data transfer, waiting time or roaming charges occur when using the map display, voice announcements or route calculation. The system files are saved directly to your device so you can navigate anywhere in Europe incl. Russia OR North America OR Australia OR Southern Africa OR Brazil/Argentina without worrying about cellular coverage or excessive data charges.
You can make free use of the Xperia Edition with all options active within a 30 days trial phase and later decide whether you want to extend this phase by another 30 days via a Google subscription for the 30-DAYs-ALL-IN package or purchase one of the two lifetime options EFFICIENCY or EXCELLENCE available. Even after ending of the trial phase the pedestrian navigation function always remains.

About the only good thing about it is that you can search by street name, rather than requiring a postcode and for that, it's worth one star. The maps are very poor, I spotted many errors in my town and it's difficult to get them corrected. Uninstalled; I'm sticking to Waze, free and far better.

We've been using it occasionally for a few years. After a very rocky start as an app, it seems to have got a little better about its data management but remains pretry clunky to use. Still has issues recovering from a lost GPS signal. And now seems to have issues with updating itself via Google Play. Overall not good, find we end up using Google maps more often then this nav app. And the issue with the license being UNRECOGNISED when more than one Google account is linked to the phone...

Purchased the excellence package and panorama 3d...previously had samsung version of this app and worked great..the safety cams dont show on the xperia edition even after accepting the privacy statement..didsappointing for the money spent...it is essentiallya great app when all features work correctly!!!

I got the efficiency South African edition not bad, very handy in rural areas where there is no cell phone reception or no 3G data reception. There's a few map bugs , the same as you get on a normal Garmin device, I am worried that it may not work when I upgrade from my Z3 to a Xperia XZ!
