NAVIGON North America

Maps for Canada are horribly outdated. And that after I went through shop and it downloaded fresh maps. Restarted app, went to shop again and it shows checkmark beside fresh maps. My guess that is latest and greatest but I know my cities around me and they are still in state of 2012. Now is Dec 2016. Are you kidding?

I paid full freight for this app because it is outstanding for iOS. However, it hasn't worked out well on Android. I purchased a new dual sim phone and find the app works when first installed. But if you go into airplane mode, then out or if you reboot, the app will say an error has occurred. Called support and was advised to update from lollipop 5.1. Wrong answer. Hope they can get it to work on a Chinese dual sim phone eventually. Update: Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Discovered that after I reinstall and download a map over wireless, the app can be exit and restarted normally as long as wireless remains on. If wireless is turned off and then back on, the app will bomb. Hope this symptom report is helpful. Using Snopow M9-LTE.

Please bring us back the ability to copy and paste at the search bar. I can't copy and paste business addresses. Now u can't grab contact addresses from the phone. There are a lot of bugs on that process. The new design it is not friendly at all.

The latest update keeps a Navigon notification after I exit the app. There's no reason it should stay in my notifications after I close it. This is very annoying. -2 stars (Galaxy s5 v6.0.1) Update: After a few reboots, uninstalls/re-installs, it now has an "Exit" button in the notification. +1 BUT it still shouldn't ask me to exit in the notification bar after i already chose "exit" in the application

i wrote to this guys to tell them its not working good and wanted tk be refunded and they never reply back, its been moths..dont buy it, it sucks, get here we go maps its free and works perfect

Very useful offline GPS navigation system, essential when travelling places without cell service, such as rugged mountainous regions, national parks, rural areas, foreign countries, or open waters.

After update it become black screen and is not showing any map, Just black screen. Please fit it. I really like this app that I pay for it.

I've had it for 5 years or so and it has always worked well for me. Only thing I'd like added would be step by step written directions.

I've used Navigon alot during my travels en daytrips in usa and eu. Has small map sizes! And it works 100% offline without account renewel and fees. Navigon is a must have app.

Application stays always on black screen..... I paid 60€ for that one. !!!! To bad. Give me back my money !!!

Saw this ad in a SKYMALL magazine on a flight to NY. I purchased while in NY and have used it with the HUD. This is the BEST GPS that I have used short of the GARMIN 496. Yes I own a 496.

Better UI then before, nicer map graphics

Had an issue with the application,, but Navigon support came to the rescue and it is up and running. Required complete flush and re-install to recover.... now to get the maps again. Search list is now quick and detailed.

It would be nicer if the radar could detect cops that are hiding and waiting to give you speeding tickets but overall I have this app for over 2 years and its great

I've had it for a few months now and maybe it worked properly maybe 2 or 3 times wish could get my money back

I've used this app for quite a while already, lately it just drains my battery (S7 edge) every time I use it, even if I have the screen off and device plugged in. Was on a 3h drive a few days ago, left with 50% battery and plugged my device in, after about 2.5h I had to close the app and let my battery charge for a while so my phone wouldn't die.

Love this app it has come along way since I used 2 I years ago.

I used to love this app on iPhone. Used it for my job as a Navy Recruiter for 3 years. Even purchased things like the panoramic and traffic along with one or two other things but can't remember. Then I switched to Android. Lots of my apps transferred info and purchases over platforms. Not Navigon. Purchases do not transfer. Not only did I buy the app itself on iPhone, I repurchased it on Android. Thinking if I logged in with my Navigon account I could transfer the in app purchases. Nope. Wouldn't recommend.

This used to be a good product, had it on Iphone for years. Bought all the options for North America and Europe, Fresh maps and all. Now, moved onto Android, seems I have to buy everything again. Fresh Maps is only available for 2 years so I wanted out. I would like a refund and move on but passed the 2 hour Google allowance and now I am stuck. Went to the website which is a mess, went to US site, selected Android and it switched to German. Can't find any prices for the in app purchases and again, the website is useless. I will stay away from this and not advise anybody to purchase this anymore!

I'm comparing this to the iPhone Garmin North America app. I'd love a Garmin North America app for Android, but apparently, this is all there is. Compared to the old Garmin app, this is inferior in almost every way. Where the Garmin app would automatically reconnect to my Garmin HUD whenever it was started, this one requires you to manually go into settings and set up the connection each time. Whereas I could count on the Garmin app to make suggestions to me based on past usage, like going to work in the morning when I'm leaving home, or vice versa, this learns nothing. Where the Garmin app would "learn" that I don't like using that specific interchange and adapt accordingly, this one stubbornly keeps sending me to the less preferred route. What else? The map display is markedly inferior to that of the Garmin app and the off-ramp/lane guidance looks crappier as well. The one thing it does better is that if I want to send someone a Glympse of my trip, it doesn't crash like the Garmin for iPhone app does. I'd use the Garmin HUD app, but paradoxically, it refuses to see my Garmin HUD, so I'm stuck with this POS, and I'm not at all happy with it.

Because the s5 no longer had usb data storage and uses mtp, you can't use fresh to install or update on the phone. Can't use a $50 purchase because app is not updated to newer but outdated phones

Have u guys even tested the option 'voice output via hpf' ? I essentially brought Navigon because of that feature, however when I have hpf option ON in my car while driving and I get a phone call, the phone call (on the cars bluetooth) suddenly goes silent when navigon has any instructions and stays silent after that till I end the call, this feature should be fixed asap please, otherwise the other features are good, hence giving it 3/5 stars and hoping that this will be fixed ASAP.

Navigon is the most beautiful one, but it craves and needs major improvements ASAP! I tried to substitute many other navigation apps, but they are not close to navigon. On the other hand other navigation have sharp route guidance, while Navigon somehow turns in wrong way, or shows wrong direction, example instead show left, it offers go longer route. I am waiting for big improvement from Navigon team and only hope it will be done soon.

I been using Navigon North America with Nokia Luminary 1520, it was working perfect. I went back to Samsung Galaxy Note5, now this Navigon does not transfer address from Contact address. I also had this same program with IPhone and HTC android phone. It was working ok. Now with Samsung Galaxy Note5, it does not work properly. You need to update this program.

I purchased this app back in 2012 and this app just gets better and better. Replaced my garmin that was stolen from my car with this app and no complaints. Speeds traps, red light cameras. Speed alerts. I also have tomtom for iPhone but nothing tops navigon. Also purchased the panorama 3d view addon and I'm loving it.

Arrival time does not always show since upgrade to Lollipop. Would like to have option of seeing basic information (current speed, speed limit distance to destination, arrival time) on a separate screen. Would like to see greater advance notice of the next lane or directional change. Adding a point of interest while on route requires too many steps while driving

Sometimes the quickest route is not the quickest route (but that goes for other navigation tools as well). Just don't know why that is. Other than that, the no Internet needed feature is awesome. New version considers Bluetooth connection as an incoming call... weird!

I find the connection to the car Bluetooth cumbersome. Once paired all the other apps output audio to the car seamlessly but not this App. For some reason the only way to get it to work is to use a setting where the car believes the route guidance is an incoming call. Bizzare.

Would be great as an offline satnav if it would list the directions it gives you rather than having to actually drive the route to have them spoken to you (all other navigation apps do this). There's no way to see which directions are coming up next. If I've missed the feature somewhere, I'd appreciate hearing how to access it.

Needs to make the text size/icons bigger. Can hardly see the street names or which side of the street the destination is on. POI list needs to be updated. Contacts integration poorly implemented. Gets you onto the street but not the exact address. Still no turn by turn list. Glympse and Foursquare integration is cool as is the voice search.

It worked splendidly and I recommend it for long distance travellers. However, under Lollipop 5 and higher it won't with on my Nexus 9, which is really disappointing.

I bought this a couple of years ago and have had nothing but problems with it. Completely stopped working awhile ago until I downloaded an updated version. Worked for a while but still no voice assist. Just upgraded to Samsung S5 installed Navigon but I can't use it because it tells me I have to download files but can't because I have no memory card- yes I do. All my other apps work fine on the upgrade. This app has been a waste of money and time. Do yourself a favor and don't buy it.
