Navmii GPS USA (Navfree)

Makes no sense to download individual state in the USA. What happens when you traveling from one state to another? Will it just stop working because you didn't download the state you're traveling through. Just give an option not to download offline maps. Just maps. Period.

I REALLY love this Navigation app . One of the easiest to get used to and fast. I would love to buy some add-ons , but ...... I am having trouble accessing the MENU button on the bottom right hand corner . I am using the app on a car based Android head unit system, and the menu button is in the farthest possible lowest right hand corner that I cant access it . Problem is I cant control anything . Its too dark to see the map because its on night mode and I cant change it because I cant access the menu. Also cant download any maps or buy add ons , again because I cant access the menu button . Its SO close, but all I can do is pull up locations as a destination, but not the menu. Any work around for this , or help ? LOVE IT , but cant keep it and buy add-ons because of the menu button problem. Only 3 stars because of this. I would rate it 5 if I could use the menu button . Edit : Installed navmii world, and menu button is easily accessible . navmii world also seems a little easier to use.

The maps are way better than before with street/lot numbers, and the search box is a lot less picky about how you format the destination entry. Voice type selection is a little hard to find, but it is there. This program gives you AMPLE warning before turns and the maps are high quality. FREE with a few paid options. Been using for years and it constantly improves. Be sure to mount your tablet or phone high (like onto AC vent or windshield) so you do not lose satelites link which acts like a program crash.

Used to be better. After the latest update some features were lost like the ability to switch between male and female voices, it's only a female voice now. Also it does now tell you when you've arrived at your destination, it just shuts off leaving you scratching your head. Build in POIs are still extremely limited. Can't find well known places in my area and 9 times out of 10 a full address will come up with nothing. I don't consider it an update when features are lost but not gained. Please think this through harder next time Navmii team.

I bought the head up display feature but it does not show in the app. What a scam.

I wanted to use this with my Pioneer head unit and it does work however the fact it can't even look up a simple address is pathetic. I'm a store merchandiser and this would of been handy for typing in the stores addresses but nope. I would not recommend this app unless you are lost and want to go home. That's the only thing this is good for. For the positive side of my rating, the actual navigation is nicely setup and I like the speedometer. Integrate Google search and this will perfect. I'd pay up to $10

There are so many things wrong with this app. Traffic disappears the route as you are driving. Can't log in with with Facebook, I get an error. I purchased the camera subscription and the cameras didn't show up in the app. I had to delete and reinstall for them to show up, then after that, the app doesn't warn you about them. I emailed their customer support abut 3 weeks ago and have not heard anything from them.

Excellent app! Such accurate guiding. It is a must have if driving around the USA! Best thing is no need for internet connection. Only requires phone signal and location turned on! We would have been totally lost without it!

Like most android apps, this one is does about 1/3 of what it should. Wont find most addrrsses outside large cities. Could find no way to save destions. Supposed to be able to by pressing blue star?!? Never saw that once. Ill stick to Garmin.

Worse GPS app I have ever used. It is the only one that goes with the pioneer app. After loading it onto my phone did a search for 10 address' that I needed directions to and it didn't find any of them. The address' it did find were outside of a 2 mile radius from where I needed to go.

I can't even find places by typing in addresses. I had to physically find the address on the map because I happened to know where they were located to set them as my work/home addresses, otherwise it would give me other "suggestions" for places it thought I was talking about despite me literally providing the exact relevant information to find the location. Only used this to interface with the HudwayGlass device I bought, but if this is the app o have to use to make it work, then it was the worst investment I've made so far. Back to holding my phone while Google Maps is active I guess.

Persistant bug, multiple years: App cannot be updated unless it and the data are in internal memory. Too many problems apparently with the maps to be reliable. I liked the app rnough to psy for it years ago, but the maps are bad, and have not improved in the 5 years I've used it. Google offline maps on the same routes wotk better : -( .

Horrible nav program. Type in a simple address and it cannot find it. Google maps, no problem. Built in GPS in my new Impala, no problem. Unfortunate that Pioneer has paired with them.

I try to type in my destination address and it just gave me weird address number that doesn't even match what I typed in. This app is not accurate...

Fundamentally incapable of finding addresses, with or without data connection. Navigation is fine, but how do I enter my destination when it can't find any addresses?

Whole product is a rip-off. Whenever you buy the device to be able to use the maps it does not tell you that you have to pay for everything you use

After installing the first map, it responds with. "Internal error please contact support" It cant find any address I have entered.

Always liked this app but Android 6 won't let you store the maps on SD card. I don't have enough internal memory to store them.

I recommend this app a lot with the caveat that "it's fidgety and you'll fight with it". I paid for extras and now I regret it. Obvious things are broken like: no pinch zoom (what app doesn't use pinch to zoom?! EDIT: FIXED) and "live POI search requires data connection" (when it's got Wi-Fi AND 4g signal!). No option to update all maps at once (got 50 state maps? You'll need 50 updates!) These issues make it hard to recommend. Also: the "world" version will allow you to download US maps and any maps they have anywhere. The USA map is North America only, but pretends to offer more in the store page and in-app menus...but really, it's just NA only.

Wonderful experience with this app????. Beautiful design for both day or night time. It's an eye catching experience to watch your car gliding the streets at nighttime. What's a plus for me: shows the way without having something planned, works extremely well with GPS only without data, clear voice commands are on time, correct Street numbers visible on the map, actual street name on the bottom, connecting way on top of screen and a clean beautiful designcolor graphic. Free means advertisers but I wasn't bothered by this and I decided to stay with this application. Previously used paid or free TomTom, Magellan, Wase, Navigator and Google Maps and decided that Navmii for all the features mentioned above can compete with the rest _ is the only one GPS installed and used on my phone now.

Installed app. Requests that I download maps. Select button and app quits after about 15 secs. Not any good without maps.

Dont work when it's linked together itll show the map but wont load search location when you go to update maps it closes unexpected

Ever time i start to use it and ask to start downloading maps it says unfortunately navmii usa has stopped i downloaded it and havent even got a chance to use it

Cannot search for an address now that the Google search has been removed. How can you have GPS and not search for an address?

Fantastic. Used it all the time in Florida and couldn't fault it. Thank you. And, it's FREE! No hidden roaming charges. Marvellous.

Worked every time in Virginia and Washington DC. Used both car and foot modes.

Really useful when there is no network

Only reason I tried this was because it is supported by appradio. It crashes every time I open it won't save any data so every time I reopen it I get to put the address in again for it to crash again. Spent 20 - 30 minutes trying to get it to work before just going back to a noncompatible app that would give me some version of directions

Used to work well and now that Google search was removed you can't find anything. They turned an awesome offline GPS into crap. Ducks that I paid to remove ads right before they removed the Google search :(
