Terrible design for the mobile website with a persistent banner ad at the bottom of the page for this app. I understand that your besuited weasel corporate masters demand that you push ads in people's faces, but have at least a hint of decency and allow us to close them.

No content. Nothing to read. The new update isn't great it's NOTHING. Too bad, was the best Canadian news source. Now it's nothing.

More often than not, I open a story and it hangs. I have to go back to the main page, and try to re-open it several times. Links do not open at all. The pictures are repeated throughout the story, and when there's a detailed diagram etc, they can't be opened or viewed in any detail to make them out. It need a night mode with white text on black background. It needs an option to share stories. This is a very frustrating app with really poor interface.

Buggy. I always have to reload at least the first article, and usually more. It's really annoying. Other reviewers indication that this is a common issue, but national post has decided to ignore it. Maybe it's time to start paying for globe and mail...

Pulling up stories seems to be too much trouble for this app about 70% of the time. Not the most effective tool. Would prefer one that works even if that meant a subscription fee.

Sigh... Was working fine until last Thursday, at which point it all went to hell in a hand basket. It is stuck on Thursday's news and won't download anymore. Very frustrating, and I am sure other people are experiencing this problem. Is a fix on the horizon???

On Android it serves up stories quickly and font size is good. It doesn't have any functionality other than downloading stories. Would be nice to offer settings like choosing which sections to display, search for articles, video, etc.

The app stopped loading new stories. It just has news stories that are 4 days old. I uninstalled the app and installed the newest app May 18 but that didn't help at all. So typical of apps, they work for a while, then they don't work anymore.

What a disaster. National Post website has been recently overhauled including a new pay wall, so hopefully this app will be overhauled to at least be equivalent to the mobile browsing experience.

The programmers writing the app seem to be unclear on either the process of writing good code or testing it. The app routinely fails to load stories temporarily or permanently. Now it's failing to show stories even if you download them all. National Post, fire those programmers and find good ones.

Poor app. Freezes, most stories don't load on first try, sometimes headlines are a day or two old and completely different from (yesterday's news) the web version. This app doesn't work well, don't bother getting it, reading through web browser is better and easier.

Used to be a must use app for me. Quality of content update seems to be in decline making it less compelling. Sometimes days before content is refreshed.

Great news source that's oddly unbiased as of this review. Unfortunately the app simply sucks. It's very slow, fails to load and seems to be outdated frequently. Your better using their Facebook page.

Absolute garbage since the website changed. Doesn't load stories. Just an empty app completely unsupported by the paper. You've just lost a reader national post. Good job.

Stopped working completely. Worked great for a long time. Started having trouble loading articles. Now it just doesn't update news at all. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Still doesn't work. Uninstalling and finding another news source.

Had a great version of the Post until June when it stpped working. The new version is very very scimpy - half doz stories and a bunch of old Holmes knows best artcles. Please bring back the old version because this one is less than informative with its hand full of stories. I used to enjoy reading the Post - not anymore.

As other users have mentioned, this app hangs every time I load a story. Pressing 'back' and then reselecting the same story resolves this. But you have to do it EVERY TIME. Tried clearing the app data but it made no difference... It's been 2 years since the last update - it really shows

Smart phone app dev is quite mature now, this app is not. Quit hiring noob devs NP!

Execution of this app is very disappointing. If you're going to be a national paper, then have an app that works well, for starters. No availability of e-paper, extended content stories and that's.

Gone in the last 30 days. Old stories, missing sections, blank sections, have to click back then on story to get it to load. Too bad. I used to depend on the Post for at least headlines. No more.

App hangs on articles and absolutely crushed my battery. Garbage.

Articles are not updated (articles displayed are about 1 week old), many times I have to click on back when loading an article because the page does not load (on the second attempt it always loads)

Frozen on content from 4 days ago. Followed all instructions to reinstall to no avail. Did this several times. Does this on computer also. I am a subscriber. Dumb. Update: Last night received 1 Dec news which today still shows. Dumb. Update: Still on 1 Dec news after clearing,uninstall, and reinstall. Dumb. UPDATE: Stuck on 21 Dec. Removed, used C Cleaner, reinstalled. Still on 21 Dec. Dumb.

This app needs a night mode. Often I open a story and it freezes. I have to rewritten to the main screen and Terry reopening the story several times. Pictures are regularly screwed up and illegible, then repeated. It needs an option to share stories.

"loading stories" freezes on both Samsung Android Tablet and Phone, and the app hangs at the "Loading Stories" screen, after having loaded advertisement at the bottom of the screen. Their "fix" of " clear data for the app (Manage Apps > National Post > Clear Data) or uninstall your current version and reinstall the latest 1.3.6 version which fixes this issue" does not work. They are not paying attention to the large number of 1/5 lowest ratings of all apps on Google Play, and are not really fixing the problem which has been highlighted since June 2015 (a year ago).

Very easy to use. However, I'd like to be able to save articles (the full articles for offline reading as well as links) in a list that I can access later. I'd also like to be able to share articles by copying the links and sending them through social media services like I can with other news apps. Oftentimes want to share an article on Facebook and I can't.

I've been reading the ratings and this subject is a constant. At least answer our concerns and let us know your not planning to fix.

There is no ability to share articles. Please correct this issue.

Good basic news app, most importantly it's still free !

Content freezes for many days and lack of share button is ridiculous.

The thumbnails by the story heading are so small I can't make out what they are. Great content, boring and unattractive UI
