About ChronoSnap

ChronoSnap is purposefully designed to be the simplest time-lapse photography app available for Android. The interface is incredibly easy to use - just launch the application and click "Start Capture". It's that simple.

Once images are captured, they are assigned a filename that begins with the date and time that the capture was started. Images are stored in the "ChronoSnap" folder within your phone's "DCIM" directory.

Features:

• Customize the capture interval
• Camera selection (front, back, etc.)
• Set a limit on the number of images captured
• Capture images with the screen turned off
• Persistent notification during capture
• Interface uses material design guidelines
• Open-source and ad-free

ChronoSnap is still in active development. Here are some of the features we are currently working on for future updates:

• Options to customize exposure, focus, etc.
• Ability to save RAW images
• Preview before capture

Not a lot to play with. ChronoSnap is lacking in features, you are not even given the option to change the resolution of the images you want to take. I'd have given it much more of a go if you had the option to save the output as a video, however, it saves each capture as a separate image. With no option to choose where they are saved too, it fills my gallery with 100s of images. It is nice and simple to use, which is something that many time laps apps fail to achieve. With a few more basic settings I'd be happy to use this app. Edit: I do see that new features will be added and I'll be happy to give it another go after some more development.

While it does work, it force closed 3 times on a Verizon Galaxy Note 4. The photos are sized at 1/2 Meg a piece while normal photos are around 4 Meg file sizes. Would be nice if it was able to produce full sized photos. Thanks for the quick response. I'm looking forward to using it at full (or close to full) resolution.

Does what it says on the tin! Only detail missing would be being able to save the images on the SD card as my phone's native memory is rather small..

Little confused when comes to.focus. if picked auto.. Does this means it will focus for every photo? Or does it auto focus on first image and then locks the focus? And what is none? Is that infinity ? Some clarification. Will be nice. Thanks. : "thanks for clarification"

Time interval cannot be reduced below 5 seconds. For me, 5 seconds are much. Reduce it to at least 2.
