Did you know that Americans, on average, spend about 1,000 times the cost of tap water for a single bottled water? Did you know that the amount of water bottles Americans drink per year could power 1.5 million cars for a whole year (because of the petroleum in the plastic)? You probably didn't know either of those facts. And guess what? The list of bad numbers goes on and on. You may ask, why not get rid of water bottles?
That is the problem my team and I set out to solve. We came up with the solution of creating a system of an app, NFC (or RFID, it is still being decided) enabled refillable water bottles, and NFC (or RFID) enabled water bottle refill centers to create a point system that awards you when you fill up your bottle.
All of the quirks are still being worked out and this is, for the most part, a completely non-functioning application. It is for demonstration purposes only. However, we love constructive criticism! So please download and leave your feedback.
I am a beginning developer, so please don't be too harsh. ;)
Thanks!
