The Telegraph for Android
Not worth paying other Boston Herald better. Free too.
Can't expand anything. Unable to read. it's the only newspaper that I know of which requires paid subscription for using app. Uninstalling now!
I used to love this app on my iPod but now they want subscriptions to the mobile edition even if you're already subscribed to the print edition and the website edition. Why do I have to have different subscriptions for each one? It doesn't make sense at all.
N.H. Telegraph
With a decent smart phone or an IPad, someone can relatively easily read and navigate the Telegraph. The larger the screen the better. I have an Android ZTE and an IPad Air, both of which handle the Telegraph. The Telegraph, like any newspaper, isn't free.
It's NOT free and the layout needs major improvements.
Don't waste time downloading it It's not really free.

As local papers go, the Telegraph isn't bad. They have good coverage of local news, especially town government and high school athletics. The "Granite Geek" column is often interesting. Using "article" mode gets rid of the "old microfiche effect" that one reviewer described, at least on half the screen. The app includes all sections of the print version, including ads, special sections, and comics (except Sunday comics). But it is too easy to accidentally change reading modes without intending to. Even in article mode they are just trying to show the print edition on your device. It is not optimized for digital the way, say, the NY Times is. New editions sometimes don't show up until after 7am. Downloads can be slow, especially on Sunday.
Crap app
IT'S LIKE READING A MICROFISCHE - TROUBLESOME AND NOT WORTH THE EFFORT
Need to subscribe. Uninstall.

As lame as the paper itself.

The format is a little unusual but works fine. You can view in newspaper format or read an article in regular text. You have to subscribe to the paper. There is now a cheaper online subscription or sunday/online subscription
