NaPanta-Agriculture Crop Management App for Farmer

Mobile Application Major Features:

Login Activity:
We ensured only a real user can access the app with the help of mobile number authentication. After authentication, the application will be configured in the user mobile. We ensured the app size below 5 MB to access and operational in all available smartphones in India.

Main Menu:
Main menu consisting the key features of the app. The features were placed based on the most priority things which a farmer require to have. Upon the discussions with more than 300+ farmers at different times and stages, these features were finalized and made it available in the application.

Daily Market Prices:
A farmer can access more than 3500+ markets across available in India along with the 300+ commodities and its varieties. Apart from the daily price updates, a farmer can access the last 3 years trend also with this feature.

Pest Information and Effective Control:
We have updated 90+ crops complete pest, disease and weed information and their control measurements in the app. Even we have moved ahead a step and provided the labeled pesticide products based on technical name referred to effective control of pest and Disease. We have listed top 20+ pesticide companies and their entire product range in our app.

NPK Mixing Calculator:
We have received a strange experience while speaking with the farmers regarding the mixing of fertilizers for a recommended dose. There is an ambiguity in the recommendation for fertilizer usage. Some recommendations are in hectors and some recommendations were in acres. Hence we have decided to rectify the issue with our NPK mixing calculator and we are successfully ensured the solution.

Pesticide Dealers:
There is 33000+ pesticide and fertilizer dealers information is available through NaPanta App for AP and Telangana. This pesticide dealer information has segregated based on the farmer location.

Soil Testing Laboratories:
Every district has several government soil testing laboratories, where the soil samples are collecting the providing the results with free of cost. This govt laboratory information is available with the NaPanta Application.

Crop Insurance: We have listed major crop insurance policy details, their premium, covered crops and seasons and other required information for crop insurance has listed in the application.

Agri Equipment:
In the modern agriculture, there are several agri equipment is available in the markets, however, the awareness to the farmer is very less on agri equipment. So we have listed several agri equipment information and how its work and usage in our app.

Cold Storage:
Area wise cold storage information along with the capacity of the cold storage and authorized person mobile number is made it available in the app. A farmer has to contact the concerned person for their requirement.

Agricultural Forum:
Based on the interaction with the several farmers and their unique issues with the farming, we have enabled a public forum, where a farmer can ask a question by uploading the crop photograph, with this activity, a farmer can get the answers from the community of 48k+ farmers as well agri experts associated with the NaPanta.

Weather:
We have used an open source weather channel API for providing the forecasting weather for next 4 days. We are also providing 3-hour interval weather updates to the farmer.

My Crop Management:
After interacting with the several farmers, it was understood that there is no mechanism to capture the every farmer crop expenditure with respect to their crop and there is no proper system where and which time the precautions have to implement IPM practices. Based on this finding we have introduced a crop expenditure tool for farmers. With this a farmer can track the whole expenditure with respect to a crop and based on age displayed on the crop listing in the app, the farmer can plan for the IPM practices recommended by agri experts.
