Wireless@SG

2 stars mainly just for its potential. The kind of a great wifi environment all over SG is a great achievement! If you ever come close to it!... Pls dont promise something that you are not even close to delivering. Only first w or 3 times worked, after that and 3rd location onwards it had not worked even a single time for past mth.

I used to be able to connect to wireless@sg/sgx. After installing this, my phone is just wasting my battery trying to connect, but never succeeding. Looks like I'm not alone. Wonder what IMDA is doing, with their own deadline looming. Nobody on wireless@sg/x by then, is that the target? If this is Smart Nation, I think we've just given it a new meaning.

PLEASE DO NOT SETUP AN ACCOUNT NOW Gave it a shot despite having read the reviews. Instant regret. Now i can't get access to Wireless@sg. The setup automatic connect me to wireless@sgX but it doesn't work. It is connected but no wifi bar. So i thought i could just use the manual way to log in by using wireless@sg. After being connected, i went to browser but the manual log in page doesn't show anymore. There is no way for me to use wireless@sg anymore. Is there a way for me to unsetup my handphone number from the app?

Useless program ,doesn't do what it promise. Only said proceed to sim setup, then fail...... Blar blar blar. Talk about auto login please make the program more friendly to use before push out, dont do half bake app!

App works surprisingly well. Auto connect works and ends up disconnecting my mobile data. Speeds aren't great though, but it works. Whether or not you can connect is based on the hotspot and not the app. The app only serves as a set-up program.

Doesn't do what it promises. Does NOT auto login. Requires manual log in every single time and unable to connect most of the times. When I finally get to connect, it disconnects instantly and frequently. Logging in on the website is more stable. Even then, the old system of signing in through an account is way easier and more stable than the current way of signing in through mobile phone number. This is a degradation of the process and efficiency. Huge disappointment

The worst initiative ever. And they will force you to use this miserable app that doesn't work by disabling your access to wireless@sg without it. Good job IDA.

cannot auto login as what it claims to do. useless app except to find wireless@sg hotspots. But even the maps and locations are also listed wrongly a total fail app even though it's by IMDA

Despite the comments, I setup an account and it work. I'm using Samsung s8. Upon setting up the account, it seems pretty weird like it didn't go through. But after that my phone managed to automatically connect to wirelesssg. Before this phone, I was using iPhone 7. IPhone 7 doesn't require this app to stay connected. Just connect using the normal way and can stay connected.

Does not work. Did the setup correctly, including forgetting of the old manual login. Now it just continues searching without connecting. Waste of data and time.

1 star for the idea. :( Like most pple that commented, the app didn't work for me. As a SingTel subscriber, I used to enjoy "free" Wi-Fi. Now with this initiative, my "free" Wi-Fi is gone! This is what really pisses me off!

Auto-login does not work. Every time after I've used my phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot, the app will forget my log-in details. When I stop my hotspot and switch back to Wi-Fi, I've to setup the account again with a new OTP. So very troublesome and useless.

Bad design and doesnt even display avaible wifi network. Dont waste your time.

Only works for the selected mobile provider. Since the wirelrss@sg networks have been distributed between the various providers, this app should allow seamless login for all of the providers, and not only the selected one. By limiting it to only one, it effectively restricts the app's usage to only about one quarter of the island!

This app is useless and doesn't configure anything I'd be better off doing it manually. A quick tip for y'all save your 30mb that this apps wastes

Only worked first time when the SIM login profile page showed up. However after that I accidentally removed the Wireless@SGx profile. Tried setup with the app again but Everytime app said successful but the SIM profile login page never showed up again, with the wifi asking for configuration (using sim) every time, not working at all now.

doesn't work. when i tap setup nothing comes up. and wifi disconnected. samsung note 5 here

Worked for awhile when it was first launched. Now that it's gone through some updates... It no longer works. Same auto connect unable due android 6.0 issue. I'm not even on Android 6.0... And the recommended workaround is not understandable. What profiles are you talking about sir/madam/robot? WiFi settings in android don't have profiles one leh.... What talking you all sial....

It connects and disconnects. The one in Japan is so much easier to use. Where u can find hotspot and connect directly from the app.

Pointless. You need to be connected to wifi to find the hotspots.

Idea is good but doesn't work well. 1) Just auto connect us to the nearest and strongest hotspot available, most people probably aren't concern about the other nearby hotspots. 2) If there is a function to cater to different service providers, don't need to show us providers other than our own Quite a new app anyways so understand there will be problems and flaws, but jiayou! Thank you =)

Couldn't setup because they said Andriod 6.0 and newer, Android security apps prevent apps from overwriting the wifi profiles that were not added by the app. They told me to manually remove all wireless@SG profiles via the device wifi menu and apparently there isn't such thing under the wifi menu. I tried searching under other categories but also don't have. Please advice me on how to find the relevant settings. Thanks.

Why the app wants to make phone call and send SMS? Doesn't seems legit. Better not download

Time and time again it can't go through the setup successfully, even after an uninstall and reinstall I'm back to using the manual log in every time Galaxy S8+

This app from the Singaporean government asks for irrelevant permission to read your SMS and MMS messages.

Doesn't work! It's silly when you tell people to download and set it up for auto login and when it's all setup it still does not auto login and it's back to manual connecting and logging in. Such a shame.

Once I change hp, it prompt me to setup profile but keep prompting sim card error before a resolution

The problem may not be the Apps itself, but whether that WIFI hotspot already been comfigured to new WirelessSGx or not.

Setup didn't work for my phone even after multiple tries across many days

The very first step of signing up and from there be able to choose a hotspot to use is not working. I wonder why this app is rolled out prior to proper testing. Hope it will be remedied.

Does not auto-connect at all. Does not provide the seamless function mentioned in the app. Quite a disappointment.
