Samsung galaxy s5 user here. The app was amazing and very useful. But recently since I got this phone it says lost connection to rate beer whenever I click on a beer. My Internet is fine. It happens whenever I use WiFi or 4G lte. Please fix and I'll change my rating

I can pull up one beer if I'm lucky. App always tells me that it lost internet connection. Please fix and update. This is a paid app after all and it would be nice if it worked like one.

Was good. Now basically broken

Everyone I try to scan or type in a beer it loses connection. I can be on WiFi or data it just dosen't work. It has even deleted all my previously saved beers. So glad I took the time to make a list.

I really wanted to find this was the tasting app for me. It had a couple of UK ales I would expect. I was looking forward to contributing but the app is unstable. What a shame

Sometimes the app cannot download data from servers. Error message says to check connection. However, my connection is fine.

great app but could us a few more features like beer rated count and sorting ability, a way to not lose your info if you have to reinstall or new phone.

So how long does it take you to push out this "fix"? Get 'er done!

It used to work but since the latest update I get the Internet connection lost error message. I uninstalled and reinstalled repeatedly to no avail.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! Only works part of the time. Whenever I try to enter a new beer it says I lost my connection to Ratebeer. Could be a nice app but never works. Developer doesn't care about the app so why should I? Better beer tracking apps that are more reliable. I'm uninstalling it.

Was a good app, however, this error has crippled it's functionality and I am left very disappointed with it. I'm very sorry that the developer is not trying to fix the error and that I actually paid money for this. Until we get a fix, it is unfortunate that I have to leave this bad review here...don't pay for this app!

This app has a lot of potential. However, some serious flaws prevent it from being very useful. 1. You cannot sort the beers you have rated. This is such a logical function I cannot believe it is not included. If you want to know what beers you have rated 5 stars you are out of luck. 2. You cannot "un-rate" a beer, or remove it from your list. Sometimes a beer has more than one listing, and if you rate the wrong one, you're stuck with it. 3. If you search for a beer name and the results cover more than one page, you cannot scroll to the next page. 4. The app will not reliably connect to the RateBeer site. This is especially frustrating because it only happens with some beers. I can stand in the same spot at the store and pull up some beers but not others. 5. You cannot port your list to another phone. When I go a new phone last year, I lost all of the 200+ ratings I had on my old phone. The owner's suggestion: just enter them all in again. The only real value in this app is to do a quick check when you encounter a new beer to get the stats from RateBeer (ABV, rating, etc.). But since you can't count on it being able to connect, the app is very nearly useless.

Worked at first but after the update doesn't load anything. I keep getting an error. Free apps do more than this. refund me please.

Loved this at first but lately it has been suffering from a glitch that says "lost contact, check connection". There is nothing wrong with the connection. Also when I reinstall as recommended or change phones, I lost my rather extensive list of rated beers. Shame.

If you say fixed then make sure it is told you 2 months ago still not working guess what after 2 months still not working what's up with that do what you say Fix It

I have loaded this app on three phones now. I would give it 5 stars, as the best beer app I have on my phone, if only I were able to backup my saved list of beers. Unfortunately, there is no such option. Each time I have loaded this app, I start from scratch. I have lost my list of beers tried, three times now. I would gladly pay a small fee for this app, if it only had the ability to save beers rated, and I don't want to save to another app (Rate Beer), hassle!

Even after new update it still says lost Internet connection. Otherwise I'd gladly give the app 5 stars...

Often, Rate Beer's data is unavailable to this ap and displays a "loss of connection" message. I tried uninstalling the ap and reinstalling it, as recommended when suggestions to fix this bug in the past where recommended. Unfortunately, the bug is still there. If this issue were addressed by The Beer Experts, The Beer Expert would easily be a 5 star ap, and i would be glad to re-rate it when this issue is corrected and this ap is allowed to consistently perform as intended.

Great app at the moment with the potential to be awesome. Really good for getting summaries of beer as well as creating a database of what you've tried Once the barcode database is a bit bigger (Australian beers are not well represented there) and there is the ability to sort beers you've rated by rating as well as alphabetically it will be fantastic. Also share to G+ would be good.

If you love beer u love this app. Other apps should procreate with this app because its the best!!

Does not work with galaxy nexus!

Great app! Works well on my Droid1. The development team is awesome and actually responds to and fixes issues very quickly. I recommend this app.

I purchased this app 2 years ago on my old phone. There is no way to transfer your rated beers to a new device. You can't enter any comments on the beers. Many times descriptions will not load and tell me I don't have an internet connection. There is no Android share feature in this program either. Wish I can get a refund for this app as it clearly looks abandoned by the developers. Get the free Rate Beer app and make an account, save some money and be able to do everything this app cannot.

Haven't had much luck being able to add beers with the barcode scanner.

The app has a good database, but the ability to not backup data really hurts if you wipe data or use multiple devices.

Using a Samsung Galaxy Note. App worked well, now every time I try to use the scan option, it crashes. No issuses with the rest of the app at this time!

This is a disappointing app ... The extent of ratings are a 5 star scale ... Unable to enter personal notes or in-depth user review of beer ... If thi is an actual feature the developer has made it far to complicated for me to figure out ... Don't waste your money on this app ... If I could rate ZERO STARS and leave a review I would ...

Force close on Motorola CLIQ XT. Will change rating when problem is fixed.

New update makes this app rock and roll again. I use it for almost every single beer store and brewpub visit.

For a paid app, very little useful information. ABV is not nearly as important as IBUs.

The first hour I used the app it dropped off several times with the disclamier of "Loss of internet connection" which was not the case. Seems to be somewhat comprehensive so far.

Most beers that are scanned, said or typed do not show up on screen. Unfortunately, this app was a good idea but was not finished. I contacted the owner and he replied that he does not have a developer at the moment. A sad end to what could have been a viable app.
