La Prière en Islam

La salât, salâh (صلاة [ṣalāʰ]) ou namaz, désigne la prière islamique, second des cinq piliers de l'islam. Chaque musulman est tenu d'effectuer cinq prières quotidiennes obligatoires (farâ'idh), tourné vers la qibla, qui est la direction de la Ka'ba de La Mecque. La prière est constituée de rakaat (unité de prière) en fonction de la prière effectuée (Fajr, Dohr, 'Asr, Maghreb ou encore 'Icha) ce nombre varie de 2 à 4 rakaat. Une rakaat se compose de la sourate Al-Fatiha et d'une autre sourate (de son choix) d'une inclinaison et de deux prosternations.
