Metal Pro for Android
Doesn't show links sent in messenger from within the integrated messages page, therefore is useless as a communication tool. Waste of $3
Very good. Nowhere near as annoying as FB's own app + you get messaging integrated in the app.
This app replaces both Facebook and messenger. It is light weight and fast. Does better with battery life as well. Well worth spending a few bucks on the pro version.
Nice on memory, works great. No issues, signs in as it should, easy on the eye candy and notification is spot on even after app is closed and cleared from running processes. Thanks Devs! Runs like a top on my KitKat phone 5.0.2. Good Stuff!
Although certain limitations from the mobile site prevent the app from moving forward in a more rapid pace — but for what they CAN do, they do very well. Light, clean, straight to the point. Thank you!
Can't share to metal pro. Just goes to landing page and hangs. Can share to text. Any suggestions on settings on my end causing this?
Videos have never worked properly. The app cuts off the edges rather than fit the video to the player and often there's no sound.
Overall like it but recently the messenger part stopped receiving messages. The messenger portion is awesome and wonderful. Critical at the moment as I am in Puerto Rico and FB messenger is my communication link.
On the two phones I use, the "swipe to refresh" is insanely sensitive, nothing else I use gives me these problems. I'll have whatever I need typed up and almost ready to go and then I'll scroll as you should be able to and the refresh circle zooms downward and if I don't catch it in time all my work is lost. It's even worse when using Twitter, I shouldn't have to be so incredibly delicate the entire time I'm using the app just so I don't lose my place or dialogue. I have contacted the developer to see what's up but that didn't really get me anywhere. I think I'm officially done using this app now, refund?
It's ok. It uses the mobile version of Facebook. Which is good because it's faster and uses less data. Navigation is a bit confusing. But that's the mobile version of FB, not the app.
Great as a Facebook reader, but the notifications don't work properly. No matter thev update interval I set it fails to notify me when I get messages. I can sometimes open the app and see that I got messages days ago that it never told me about
Needs much tweaking Sometimes I can share and other times it looses the photo that you wish to share. Much glitches to work out!
Super convenient way to have Facebook and Twitter in one place. The only issue I've had has been trouble posting photos to Twitter.
Used to be good. Now it doesn't update correctly. Messages suddenly disappear, so I have check FB on my computer instead. Also, the app has become very slow.
It's probably one of if not the best Facebook substitute out there. The few bucks for the pro version I'd definitely recommend. I'm not a big fan of Facebook as it is so having their bloated app installed eating battery all day is horrible. Even with all of Facebook's data and energy setting modes on it eats battery. Moving to this app was awesome let's me do 99% of everything really well and on my terms. My phone battery life is so much better with this compared to the Facebook app. Facebook lite isn't available in the US so this app is awesome!
This is a great alternative to the resource hogging Facebook. However, the UI is not that nice nor is the input response. This paid version is worth it. Keep grinding, guys. Update: Metal doesn't seem to allow uploads from Imgur or from The Score. It used to but not anymore.
It might save some battery life, but is surely not saving me time! Vero long loading times and uploads
Nifty app, resource friendly. Has some bugs like the Facebook toolbar finding its way out of the GUI or a settings button loading to "On this day" , then to the actual settings, my messages were only showing read or unread but not both, but overall it's a nice alternative to the actual thing.
The best alternative to the (intrusive, bloated, battery sucking...) official FB app. No adverts, and messages still work, unlike most other alternatives. (Quickly fixed the recent menu bar issue). One suggestion would be to combine the top RH menu options into the RH pullout menu.
Option to disable swipe down to refresh page; I've had instances where I'd swipe up to read what I had wrote in a message just for the page to refresh thus page deleting everything I had written... Also, make the Pro material theme blend better and make the outlines more prominent while using the OLED theme.
Regret paying for this app so soon. Looks good at first but missing useful tools. Not being able to copy and paste makes this unusable for me. Wasted money. Refund my money and make the ability to copy and paste and I will change my one star.
This a good alternative app for Facebook. At times, I have issues with the Facebook app and use this one. I haven't had any problems using this so far. It's straightforward and easy to use. I wanted share something with a friend and wasn't sure if it would because the name on my friends list doesn't pop up. I'll have to use it more to get acquainted with it.
Getting back, though white theme still has issues.. notifications set to 5 mins, but takes longer to come through..
It's ok. It definitely uses a lot less battery than the official app but sometimes it's a little slow loading and the comment editor could stand to be streamlined a little.
This app has replaced the stock Facebook on my S8. Better battery control, faster and it doesn't crash every 5 minutes. Absolutely loving it and worth every penny for the upgrade to Pro.
There is a high pitched sound the happens randomly when watching videos on Facebook.
Great alternative to fb app. Having messenger built in makes it alot less stress on the battery
Perfect alternative to the ridiculously heavy Facebook app. Simple, fast, and it doesn't listen to your conversations either ;)
Improvements made the app better. A little bit more polishing it would be peefect.
Can't see any difference between this and the free version
Great option for the original apps, and runs so much better!
The best of its kind, but a work in progress. Menus need to conform to common standards. Sharing between Twitter and Facebook should be easier
Hi.. I want to cancel my payment. Notification is not showing. Unlike the free version it alerts me everytime there's a new message
It has a few nuances, but over all it's decent, still checking to see if the battery drains less on my phone.
Have had some glitches with the twitter side of the app but other than that have been pleased with this app.
I had given it 2 Stars a while back but it seems to work as intended. Deleted my Facebook app and use this now.
Suggested posts still cropping up.
Would be really helpful if I could copy text, and if the Twitter DM allowed me to scroll up in a conversation.
Really needs the hamburger menu to remain visible when browsing in Groups, because you can't refresh, go to most recent post or jump to the top. Also, Pm messages can't always be read in the app, rather on many occasions "get messenger" is displayed with a link to Google Play store. Invariably you still need Facebook Messenger installed

I use this because it saves a lot of my battery compared to the official Facebook app. My only complaints are that if I open a link, then go back, it puts me to the top of the feed (I tend to look once every couple days and read back through the feed.) The other is that you can't take a photo in the post. You have to take the photo first, then start a post. But this is a feature of the web interface and not actually a bug.
