Toaster Cast DLNA UPnP Player for Android
Very misleading! It seems all the features shown in the screenshots are from the pro version which is advertised in the app. From the free version you can only play local media, which doesn't really make it DLNA...
Paid for this for the music server. My Bose Sound touch can see the songs, but won' t play them. I'll keep looking. Doubletwist works but the syncing part is so buggy.
Paid for both the n7player & Toaster , it doesn't work very well. Im using other free version. The n7 is okay though but the Toaster isn't! The Toaster doesn't do high res or even FLAC only rubbish mp3 files. If you have better file formats don't bother!!!!
Real shame there is no trial for the pro. I wanted a Dlna server, but can't check whether it works before purchase :(
When I try to stream to my audio receiver I get a "format not supported error message." I've tried a bunch of different audio formats and none have worked.
Used to work with Moto x play (Android 6). Now on my LG V20 (7.0 Nougat) it skips a bunch of tracks. Will not play songs in correct order (randomize is off), and often fails to even play individual tracks.
Gave 2 stars for benefit of doubt, but really couldn't evaluate without purchasing. A lot more useful for demo versions to be full featured, but time limited on playback. Shame
Great for dlna streaming over WiFi. Works better than 6 others I've tried. Less glitches. I would give it a 5 if it was a bit quicker otherwise best there is for me.
This app has potential but since the developer had the idea then decided he didn't care anymore best spend your money else where like maybe localcast it is actively developed
It says that its compatible with Sony. It loaded easily then when I pressed the button to connect to my Sony blu ray it found it then it gave an error msg "format not supported" I thought I finally found an app I could stream my movies from my phone to my T.V. I'm uninstalling
I've tried so many apps to do the simple job of streaming video files from my phone to my TV and finally landed on this one. Thank you!! Perfect streaming. The quality is like watching TV on 720p Video files. Haven't tried 1080p but don't need to anyway. Also the added bonus of opening your files with your preferred app (mine's quickpick) and I get files in detailed alphabetical order. None of the other apps confusing file presentation. After 24h testing, I've bought it for €2.99 that's money well spent!
I have just purchased Toaster Cast pro to steam music to my Chromecast Audio. However, now it's installed it keeps connecting to my *other* Chromecast without prompting and without music playing. This even interrupts whatever I am watching on the TV at the time. I have to put my phone in Airplane Mode in order to watch Netflix on the TV without Toastcast taking over. Please can you advise how I can fix this problem, or, alternatively, how I can uninstall and get a refund on the Pro purchase.
Worked well with old Samsung tab and my HTC m7. Found my airplay etc device that has no search/visibility button and was useable as a player, unlike many in both cases. Now trialing with n7 player.
Player works well and casts just about anything but unfortunately the CPU freezes up about 10 minutes in. Have to remove the battery and reboot. Fix this and its worth 5 stars
The main issue I have is that there's no way way to easily navigate the player. For instance it is not possible to ' fast forward ' or a 'rewind by 30 second' button. Also the timeline is very small due to it being on portrait mode, if it was possible to get it horizontal, then maybe there's a little leeway with the navigation. Please please please add these functionalities.
What I want is to be able to use the brilliant user interface of N7 to play music files that I have stored on my Synology UPNP server through my network. What I get is an buggy, unintuative, part foreign add-on to N7 which allows N7 to send music files to other UPNP devices! I only find that out AFTER I have paid for it! Like I said - Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! I know that it has a UPNP player built in, but the user interface it offers is extremely poor and practically unuseable. It's hard to see how these two apps could have come from the same developer! I would uninstall it except that I've paid for it!
Got this to play music from my android mobile phone to my bose (ipod) speaker in minutes, with no uploading of music files, having to subscribe... excellent
Over all this app works well. It is simple compare to other mirroring apps. One thing playing is misspelled on the app. The app has it spelled plaing. You don't drop the y. Other than that I would recommend it.
Stupid. Without trying go to Pro. I have no money to mess with staff I don't know...
This is of no use to me it keeps asking me to connect with Wifi network. I would love if this app is made 3G compatible.
This app won't do anything unless you buy the paid for version and if you don't agree to buy it you get a Polish or Russian (or some other eastern european language) error message. I would be happy to pay for it if works, but right now it doesn't work at all.
Runs great until i get a text message. Then it crashes
Battery drain is far too high compared to other apps. Regrettably I had to move to a different one
Thought it didnt work but I just needed to switch my device off once installee amd restart!
uninstalled. free for all.
Nope i was hopeful i could connect the n7 player to my crap lg tv through wifi direct and smartshare without a modem my tv doesn't have mirror cast please add it . ps i wont hold my breath thanks
Originally it found my media server, but only played one video then it never found again.always found computer saying there is an error(never saying what it was). Emailed for help and got no response plus website is dumb
Excellent so far this hasn't failed me. Does a lot more than say all cast or local cast. My fav casting tool by far
I cant play most of video error show format not supported plzzzz fix it i will give 5 star
It makes you have to pay for the full version to do what the app is for- streaming audio/video!! Do not download this app if you like your money.
To whom may concern, I use both the N7 Player and the Toaster Cast apps on my Android phone for streaming music to my Wi-Fi player. For the most part, everything works fine. The only issue I keep having is, after roughly 3-5 songs are played, the Toaster Cast will randomly DISCONNECT from the N7 app, and the music stops playing. (Note: There is NO break in the connection to the Wi-Fi signal though.) I have no idea why this happens, but it's pretty annoying, and it means I have to reconnect AND start the song over to continue listening. Do you have a solution for this problem? I paid to have the FULL version of both the N7 and Toaster Cast apps, so I am really hoping you have some way to resolve this quickly. Other than that, it's great! Thank You, Steve L. Update: With no response from N7, I have UNINSTALLED the N7 Player & Toaster Cast apps from my phone. Not only did they cutoff from Wi-Fi randomly, sometimes they even did so MID-SONG.
I purchased this app some months ago, in the beginning was everything ok but now after switching to HTML I can't stream youtube videos naymore to my DLNA. It says " Unknown format" or something like that. Is there an update in the works?

None of the files (audio / video) files are played from NAS unless saved locally. Getting error message as unsupported file format
runs continuously with 2-3 services even when I don't use it.
The app is very easy to use, but for some reason, almost anything I try to stream now it says "Format not supported". Even the paid version displays a "Toaster Free" banner across album art on the Xbox display. Also, no album art is displayed in the Toaster player. Please fix!
Keeps on saying "format not supported", while both the media centre and the phone can play it. Previously played videos also don't work anymore.
Just wat i was looking for...Works to play my phones music into my smart tv
best casting app. love it
