I downloaded and tested about 10 apps for tracking TV shows. My TV List was the least helpful for me. Pros: Very simple design and interface. Includes older, obscure, and less popular shows. Cons: No way to track what episodes I've seen. No way to rate shows. No way to find similar shows, genres, or recommendations. Basically no interaction with a show once you've added it. Definitely not what I was looking for, completely usless to me. Might as well use IMDB or the notepad on your phone.
