De app voorziet de deelnemer, toeschouwers, vrienden en familie in het laatste nieuws omtrent het evenement. De unieke track applicatie doormiddel van GPS en RFID zorgt ervoor dat de deelnemer gevolgd kan worden gedurende het evenement.

Tijdens de initiële start van de app opent het “event tracker” scherm. Met behulp van dit scherm kan de mobiele telefoon gekoppeld worden aan het unieke startnummer. Zoeken naar de eigen naam kan op basis van startnummer of op naam. Toeschouwers of de mensen thuis kiezen voor “overslaan”. De app is dan passief en registreert geen GPS signalen.
Na de koppeling met het mobiele apparaat ben je te volgen. Er knippert een groen vlak zodra de GPS een connectie heeft. Het knipperen van de groene vlak is om te bevestigen dat de app klaar is voor gebruik.

De GPS tracking start pas echt vanaf het moment dat de start is gepasseerd tot het moment dat de finish wordt gepasseerd. Voor aanvang van het evenement is de tracker aan en uit te zetten via het optie menu.
Ben je toeschouwer of wil je je vriend of vriendin thuis volgen: kies dan voor “overslaan”. De gebruiker kan maximaal 5 deelnemers volgen via de “tracker” tab. Evenement content en media:
De ‘app’ biedt naar de unieke tracker functie ook ‘up to date’ informatie over het evenement zelf. Het evenementen programma, waar kan je parkeren, laatste informatie over het openbaar vervoer en loop routes voor de toeschouwer.
Ook vind je in de app de laatste updates via de “informatie” en de “Twitter” tab. De persoonlijke video’s zijn tevens gekoppeld aan de app zodat je deze na afloop kan bekijken op de telefoon.

Batterij verbruik
