This is the mappa map for The Canary Islands (Spanish: Islas Canarias) which are an Atlantic territory of Spain on the west coast of Africa.
The following islands are covered in the Canaries mappa map:
Gran Canaria — The largest island by population, capital city Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Fuerteventura — windsurfer’s mecca.
Lanzarote — Low lying and arid, with a spectacular volcanic landscape in the west of the island (National Park of Timanfaya). The capital is Arrecife and has its own airport (ACE).

La Gomera — is shaped like an orange that has been cut in half and split into segments.
La Palma — The capital is Santa Cruz de la Palma. The southern part of La Palma is dominated by the Cumbre Vieja, a volcanic ridge.
El Hierro — the Meridian Island.
The two airports (North/TFN & South/TFS) on Tenerife and the Gran Canaria Airport (LPA) are the busiest, but it’s also possible to fly to many of the other islands – all are covered on the mappa map.

The user interface is very poor POIs almost non existent. The paper map that came with the hire car for free was more useful

I like the idea of simple offline maps of small portions of the globe, and for that price i choose to try this in a recent trip to Lanzarote. While the map is generally ok and a good substitute of paper ones, do not expect anything more. Navigation in map and menus is not flawless. Points of interest are old (at least in Lanzarote area) and search is buggy and painful. Cannot search for proximity in an effective manner. Home gets you always in an arbitrarily predefined point. And so on... If the codebase is refined, I could consider trying another similar product of theirs in next trip.

Used constantly on holiday in Lanzarote when we hired car. Used on Nexus 7 it was great to find current location so never got lost. OK it doesn't give directions but it's such a small island, that really isnt necessary.

A good free app with great detailed offline maps but the UI is a little awkward and limited. Worked a treat otherwise.

Great if you have only satellite available. The map is very detailed and accurate. The only problem we had was that the App lost the Sat signal every now and then. I used GPS Status to reinstate the signal and switched between the Apps. But an excellent map though.
