WRAL News App

App crashes every time I open it, but works when I'm asked to re-launch for some reason. I have notifications enabled but they have never worked on my Pixel XL. If you have a Pixel XL, prepare to be frustrated. Too bad, I liked the app on my last phone. Updated 7/25/17 - Still having the same problems with the app (frequent crashes and no notifications). Sadly I think it's just not meant to be. I'm off to find another local news app that will give me notifications. Edit 11/30/17 - Notifications finally work, so I've upgraded to 4 stars. However, if the notification is longer than one line, the remainder is cut off and you can't pull down from the notification screen to see the complete text. Also, sometimes I'm directed to the front page of the website when clicking on a notification instead of the story, which is frustrating.

Couldn't ask for a better news app & the extra "weird news" is always a plus! Don't change a thing, you will ruin a perfect app. If I did suggest adding anything it would be a section for missing people in our State bc we have so many missing people & I know THOUSANDS use your app so it may help with that. That's the only thing I would even suggest. Thank you for a free service without ads and that keeps us all in tune to what's happening around us.

Great, informative app. I have found it to be very dependable. I'm glad I can take WRAL with me. I grew up in Raleigh and the WRAL news team is like a family member. I also allow Channel 5 news alerts on my phone.

I use this as my anytime, anywhere news source. I believe these folks have a fair and unbiased dedication to deliver the news.

Freeze's at times, and will not open, unless I do a restart

Garbage. There is no more frustrating app on my phone than this. Why can't you guys get your act together. This app has stunk for almost a year now. I'm done with it.

They have defiantly approved it and it works a lot better then past. It may be because of my upgrade to an S7 galaxy.

Too many human interest stories...that is NOT news. App crashes too often on opening from a notification.

Sports news is not very current.

Excellent for news and sports! And this version works well with my phone.

Too many long commercials about the channel itself. I am already tuning in, why do that?
