About EpiDiary

Do you or a loved one have epilepsy? If you do, most likely you have been asked to keep track of seizures, medicines, sleep, and how you feel on a daily basis. This application is an epilepsy diary that can help you do this quickly and more easily than any other option. It has unique capabilities and is in use not only by patients but by leading hospitals and academic institutions(*) for their research projects.
EpiDiary has been serving epilepsy patients since 2010.
EpiDiary has Visual Medication Management (VMM) technology to improve your safety in taking medications. In a world where medications from different sources are provided to patients, the color, size and shape of the pills changes frequently. Having large, actual photos of your own medications on your phone provides new and better capabilities that can help you.
With EpiDiary you can track your sleep, which might be associated with seizures.
In addition, EpiDiary has one-touch data entry technology which lets you enter seizure information or check taking your medications immediately from the phone lock screen, making these commonly used functions accomplished quickly and easily.
The cloud diary at epidiary.com has even more capabilities such as generation of a customized reports, pillbox filling instructions and more that can help your physician provide you with better care.
Unique EpiDiary capabilities, not found anywhere else:
- Timely notification and reminders - provide the real photo of the medication that needs to be taken
-You can attach photos of your actual medications, and refresh them as their looks changes to make sure you are taking the right medication at the right time
- Check your medications immediately from the notification. No need to search for the app
- As an option, check your seizures right from the lock screen, to save you the effort of searching for the app
- Keep Historically accurate medication record – Your care giver can see which medications were taken in the past, how they looked like, at which dose, and if there were any adverse events associated with any of them.
PLEASE NOTE: The actual performance of imaging your pills is greatly dependent on the capabilities of your phone’s camera. We have tested this using the up-to-date major brands. Because there are many models of phones in the market we apologize if the photos don’t come up the way you expect.

* Recording Seizures (single or clusters)
* Recording Medicines, when to take them and when to refill them

My version is up to date but does not have all of the features shown here. It does not allow me to track my cycle which is a huge frustration as that is what my seizures are tied to.

I love this app and have used various iterations of it since 2007 on a blackberry. It is a wonderful tool that helps manage not only my seizures, but also my Depression, Prescription record, major medical incidents, and pill reminders. It has made tracking my episodes much much easier and even easier to report to my clinician as she can log right in and see it. Now with the sleep record, I can also manage my CPAP log and see how the sleep effects the seizures and migraines better. All I need now is an easy way to enter my blood pressure, pulse and pulse ox, and I will have all of my issues managed in one place. Awesome work guys! Keep it up and I will continue to advertise you all to my friends needing to monitor this stuff.

GREAT new features!

I love it, but it is missing the "what triggered the seizure" post. It has it on the online diary, but not on the app.

U70%
by U####:

I don't like that the only way to add a deja vu or aura symptom is by adding a seizure. I would change the '+Seizure' button to '+Symptom'. Take notes from my period tracker app.

I have tried many different apps to manage my epilepsy. This is by far the best app I've come across to keep track of every aspect of my epilepsy.

I haven't used the app in a while and there is no function to retrieve my password, but it also won't let me create a new account using my email address. For all I know the app might be great but I can't get in!

I've had sync issues with this app for months now and the behaviour is consistent on at least four different devices. The problem is that subsequent seizures can overwrite previous recorded seizures from the same day,. There is also an issue where the app doesn't show the same seizure data as that view-able on the web site. Maybe this is related to the timezone I'm using it in (UK) whereas the app and site are setup for an American audience.

Love the app! But it crashes during the pill scan. Why?

U70%
by U####:

Soterria Seizure Alert texts caregivers with my location and how long I've been having a seizure. I can even text emergency services. It also works with or without any Android smartwatch, and records my seizure history so I can tell my doctor how I'm doing.

The app is good but when I want to go check on my last seizure I can't and I don't have any way of ahoing it to my Dr do you a way for me to show my dr

After the app was updated on my phone (LG 4.0.3) I am unable to get onto my diary. I can use my account online just NOT on my phone. The password and username are the same yet I still cant get on the app. :( I would love this app if it worked.

It would be great to be able to enter in a specific time that a seizure happens instead of in half hour increments.

While the app itself is useful, it is frustrating that I am only limited to experiencing 3 side effects per day. Have the creators of this app never tried one new med while increasing/decreasing on another? I'm on a 3 AED cocktail right now and 3 side effects is very limiting. I would also like to be able to just tap a single button to indicate I took all my meds for the entire week. In 20 years of epilepsy, I have missed a dose once so the reminder is useless to me.

I forgot my info and I can't find a place to reset it. My e-mail is on file but I can't do anything with it. I loved this app but I can't use it!!!

I have tried to create an account, it tells me that they're working on the app and asking me to try it again in a few weeks... Not helpful at all

I went to log my medications today. I was logged out and i am not able to log back in or anything. I guess I have to uninstall then reinstall with new information. It will not recognize my user name or password. I tried un instlling and reinstalling. I can not even create a new account. Very disappointed

After using it for just a few days, app crashes every time I try to open it. Also, there are key options that are missing which are important in accurate tracking. But, I do like that I can set my own seizure types, up to eight different ones.

EDIT - JUST TOOK OVER MY PHONE AND CRASHED IT. I somehow managed to remove it. I couldn't do ANYTHING bc it hijacked my phone.
